You don't need to.

This is what's called the conversational vacuum. Use it.

If the girl restarts the conversation, especially with "So...", it's an IOI.

While the conversation lulls, keep eye contact if you can and lean back. Don't show that the lull bothers you at all.

This is a risk if you're in a group because she might just go back to talking to her friends, so you may want to try it only if she's isolated.

Otherwise it's a good idea to have a little routine in your back pocket to pull out at this point. The Cube, Strawberry feilds, both of those are great for re-asserting your values and getting the conversation going. If the conversation lulls after that, the set isn't worth it. Great answer Cinnamon Spice. You have to learn to be comfortable with silence. It's a great tool to use. When I learned a lot about negotiations while in car sales and I eventually taught it you learn to use this to your advantage.

It's normal to be uncomfortable in silence. When you ask someone to buy you shut up. It's there turn to answer. When you talk before they answer you loose ground because then you're trying to justify your point. Get comfortable with silence. When she goes to speak like Cinnamon says it's an IOI cause she is "continuing the conversation."

When in doubt if you are really stuck, say something situational.
