I'm a senior in high school, 18 years old.

I've been reading on the pua stuff for several months now. I can talk to girls except approaching which I tend to overthink too much.

But last night was my school's winter formal. I went with my twin brother and my friend and his girlfriend.

After dancing with two girls I go outside because the DJ switched to some mexican music. I sit with my friends and then I see an HB that I sort of know inside. Eh I don't know what I was thinking but I went inside and walked up to her. I kinoed her elbow to get her attention then the exchange went like this:

Me "Do you know how to salsa?"
Her "No"
Me "Good. Let's go."

I grabbed her hand and guided her to the dance floor and proceeded to "teach" her salsa (I never had any formal training with salsa and I just like to fuck around when dancing, although I remember a thing or two from what a friend taught me) but just seconds later the song ended and I ejected out.

Like half an hour later I see her again with her friends. I approach and kino again (same way as before) and I tell her "you still owe me a dance". Then I turn to her friend and ask "can i borrow her for a sec?" and her friend pushes the HB towards me... i take that as an invitation and take her hand (again) and then dance with her for a couple minutes. Then I eject and that is that.

I still have major approach anxiety issues but doing this made me feel a bit more confident in myself especially since I just pulled it out of my ass. My friend saw me taking the HB to the dance floor and said that it was pretty good (he's into the pua stuff too but he's taken now).

I know I didn't engage her friends enough as I should have. But I already have a DHV spike because everyone at my school knows who I am. I'm not like part of the popular crowd but I'm a breakdancer and I perform at some of the assemblies (i hate it lol) and the HB and her friends all know that. That might've been the reason why her friend did that, I don't know.

Anyway thoughts on my first attempt at the game? Overall I think I did okay especially knowing myself... the 3 second rule was the one thing that I finally managed to follow, because I generally have trouble approaching girls. Although I'm not sure if my opener (the one about the salsa) was creepy or anything.

u did great except u kept ejecting i dont know what that was all about u should have stayed and talked for awhile, not the whole night but atleast enough to get in with her so when u see her in school shell say hey or something. did u get a number or what?

I kept ejecting because I was getting nervous... I blank out easily and a lot of the times she was with her friends and i'm still working on trying to engage everyone. Like I said it was like my first attempt (there is another formal dance at the end of the month so I want to improve before next time) and I'm just trying to figure out what I could have done to improve.
