I was reading in the MM that the dance floor is a trap, but what if you are a really good dancer?

Then is it a DHV?

Yeah id def say its an advantage if your a good Dancer!
You cant really talk and sarge on a dancefloor, but a lot of human comunication is Non-Verbal!
So if you stand out and look as if your having a good time - Demonstrating Higher Value.
Plus it gives you an excuse to get close to a target if you want to dance with her and she's checking you out!

hey 6step, i believe that if u dance and have fun then you should use it just like any other trick that you can do. if you feel its working carry on moving if your getting nowere then perhaps pursue other options,

thanks for the input, I do a popping and locking, liquid and I've been learning too B Boy (breakdancing) Im thinking its more of a peacocking method rather then a DHV now that I think of it

the way i think of it is that if i could dance it would be the perfect way to cap a night off. i would sarge girls at pubs and bars, collect an array of numbers and then head off to a club and prick tease like the girls do boys. because lets face it club game is weak. you could round off the night by escalating your success, gleaming in the post day glow of that night winding everyone up. seeing as noone ever does anything in a club - its just a place where opposite sexes grind up against each other and head off there own ways, pay over the hill for drinks and deafen themselves on shit music thats so loud you cant communicate. it would be great if you could do what you go there for -- dance!!

be careful with the breakdnacing as peackocking it could come across as trying to hard if you were to do that in a club, popping and locking is good jus to put a few sly moves in as ur dancing or if ur dancing across from some1 jus to get their attention abit. i like dancing it makes me smile and i have fun so meeting girls seems quite easy if ur in a club then try take them somewhere quiet after dancing for a chat, or even after the place has closed you could ask if they wanted to get some food with you, make sure they know your not paying for them.
i think ppl that dance hav a big advantage, its a very useful skill, and its been mentioned to me b4 that u can tell a lot about a guy as there dancing

The reason of this ( " the dance floor is a trap" ) Is because girls in clubs are going to start dancing in the dance floor with some friend and will get approached by 100 guys and blew them off. So when you approach a girl in the dance floor you put her in a situation where she have to decide right there if she wants to dance with you or not. Is a tough spot, she doesn't know you , etc...

The dance floor is a trap because you can't talk and you will end making a direct AFC cold approach.

IF you are with a girl that you met in a club you could show her some moves in the dance floor. If you manage to open a set and isolate your target in a dance floor I will tell you to move out of the dance floor and try to talk.

I agree that dancing is both a DHV and Peacocking, but it will lean towards one or the other depending on what context the dancing is done in.

For instance, you are at a club, don't know anyone. First thing I do is hit the dance floor and start busting a move, not for long though and don't go over board. Couple smooth moves just showing you are having a good time.

Then I'll go get a drink in hand and start goin around the dance floor to wear there would have been spectators.

You'd be surprised in how many people took note of the guy dancing buy himself lookin good on the dance floor.

I just think it's a great indirect opener really heh...


Also it's a good closer, find a girl, and hell go drag her out on the dance floor. It's a tried and true method but it is effective. That's where body language really comes into play, you don't wanna overwhelm her and start crumping like crazy, but just play off her, be seductive and smooth.

From my experience a good few popping/ liquid moves can be a brilliant DHV and i've used it to open a few HB8/9's

Things go even better when she can dance herself, a few weeks ago i was dancing and one girl decided to show what she had, this proved to be a brilliant DHV as the next few times i was at the bar i was being opened by girls who had seen me.

I agree a lot with the idea of body language being more important then words as it accounts for most communication, so who's to say you need to talk to someone to attract them.

haha I walk in dancing....its hard to look like an idot dancing because 99% of the guys in the bar dont know how to dance eather....just relax and move your body to the music. If your a horrible dancer then dont goto a bar wer chicks want to dance....but It really is not hard if u have a couple beer and just relax! I dont go to dance but I have no problem dancing if a girl wants to.

What looks better?

1. The guy who is on the dance floor having fun with women and enjoying life?

2. A group of dudes siting at the side of the bar pointing at the guy dancing and looking at the chicks he is dancing with?
