** - This is his way of explaining shit tests. Either she wants you to go away or she wants you to try harder... so keep trying and you'll find out which. It either pays off or it doesn't, and if it doesn't, whose loss is it really?
As for how to approach, do what you feel is right for you. Do what suits your personality. Be real with her. You don't need a specific technique for a specific place... you just need to be real. So what if she knows you're hitting on her? It's no secret that men want to be with women and vice versa; to deny this is lunacy.
