How many of you have told your mates/sisters/parents whoever that you activly pick up chicks through knowledge you got from the internet.

Just curious about their responses; hate/indifference/congrats...

I know PUA's are out and about now in allot of countries, and wondering what the family consensus is about it.

my older brother ignored it, wrote it off as 'fag shit,' my little brother said, 'holy shit, that sounds like exactly what i need,' one friend joined the game, another thinks its all a marketing ploy that isnt real, and another thinks he is above it, even though he doesnt get laid.

never told my parents, they think i'm a drug using heathen already, and they raised me to be abstinent until marriage.

i told a friend the day i found this forum.. turns out he's been following MM for a while.
told another friend and he asked a few questions and then blew it off with "thats lame dude" (funny thing is that he think's he's good with girls because ugly ones adore him  )
and lastly, told a good female friend. she offered to be my pivot.
family doesnt need to know.

You forgot the "No, I'm a scared little bitch" option. :P

I get mixed responses but it doesn't really matter to me anyway. People who aren't respectable enough to get to know me on their own and instead judge me solely based on hearing that I'm one of those "weird pickup guys" aren't worth my time.

I also get mixed responses from my parents because they obviously don't know what to think of it.

I did put that in but forgot to press add poll option. something along those lines anyway. I plan on letting them know next year as a resolution

I was also thinking of buying my sisters The Game for Christmas but decided that would result in too many questions I didnt want to answer

There ya go!

I told everyone last Christmas. They took it wrong at first and thought the worst, but now most of them are supportive aside from worrying that more business partners will screw me over.

its funny cos telling my parents, i had a better reaction then i did with my freinds. I went into some of the theory with my parents and they said that its all very interesting but they dont think it works that way (but i have evidence to the contrary) and my freinds tend to think everything i say is on some BS.. lol. and they think its stupid for someone to need to study it... but i am so ridiculously more successfull now then before... so there the ones missin out.

If it comes up it comes up. I dont go out to tell people, if they ask i will explain.
I dont see why people feel the need to hide or make a big deal about telling people. Its no different to a girl reading cosmo for a start.

I am not ashamed of learning and understanding this stuff, so why would i not want people to know. I dont feel a need to hide it.

A word of warning though, if you do tell people make sure they understand it and how it isnt manipulation etc and all the bad connotations people have. This is especially important when in a closed system (school) where people talk and your reputation could be damaged.

Another issue with guys knowing is that you can get the "wow your amazing teach me" and they pester you 24/7 when your around them. Although, i have only had this happen once. I simply explained that i dont mind helping with the odd thing but i am not coaching them.

A few friends know about it, both male and female. Also a few women i have been with have asked about it. All have taken it well.

I don't. A couple of my friends know about The Game and the like and are adamantly against it.

It always puzzles me why some people are so offended by the idea that there may be something out there that they don't know about women.

I get the impression that alot of people equate "reading/watching pickup material online" with "furiously pleasuring one's self online".

Nothing wrong with either imho :D

Some of my friends know. They were a little weirded out at first because they didn't fully understand but now they are all cool with it. Some of my friends "joke" about me helping them get a girl but I think that is their way of being too shy to man up and ask for help for real.

Haven't told my family yet...not so sure I will unless I really have a reason to tell them

A selected few knows about it... No reason to tell everyone about your subscription to playboy either right? It is quite personal.

Honestly when ZIP first told me about it I wasn't so turned on, until I really got to understand it as a social science, not a creepster or hustler thing...

And now I'm proud of it! My girlfriend knows, is very supportive, even helps answer questions sometimes! My brother is getting into it with the under 21 crowd, he's a natural. My sister thinks me and my bro are just as rediculious as always - gramma even gets in on action!

Speaking of which... I think we should get a "ask betty" thread going... i find the best advice comes from her crazy scotch induced ww2 stories about when the mens folks were scarce so she organized some "lady dates" where a bunch of women would call her, and she'd organize dates where people could meet up with her and be introduced to others, or just hang out with her... she might have been the original natural ;)
