Hey guys, airwave here.. New to the forum and i think it's great. So anyway my problem is that i am boring to people.. noone has ever told me so but i can see and feel it when i am talkin to them. All the interesting things that i do have to say, run out real quick and im stuck with silence or saying stupid things..

Before i used to talk alot but it was all dumb stuff so now i just dont talk much if i dont have things to talk about.. I always thought that people were born the way they are and never though u can become interesting by training that skill or whatever it is.. not only do i not know what to say to random people but even my own unkle or my moms boyfriend i have nothing to talk about.. I thought that reading the news and interesting articles would help but i just don't get around to doin so, would it ?

So my question to you guys is: How do you guys make yourselves interesting and how do you train yourself to talk about anything to people..

PS. Im more of an interview guy when it comes to meeting new people which sux..

Hey Bud

Welcome to the site..

My advice, is learn, educated yourself, read books, watch tv, learn from other people, observe others take what works, better still talk about a topic that you are passionate about, that way it will be much easier and more natural..

If your having trouble keeping people interested develop your tone your sense of houmer mix in houmer with current events, keep reading the papers educate yourself, in time it will become natural, you shouldnt script this part of your life, it should be natural and real.

Hope that helps.

One of the things that I find interesting (apart from knowing a lot of facts about whatever) is real life experiences.
You may think that you have nothing at all but believe me, everyone has interesting things to tell, it is not the thing itself that makes it interesting but what you make of it, your thoughts about it.
It would not be interesting to tell about the time I went out to have a beer but it would be interesting to tell about the girl I saw at the bar who wore leopard tights and tried to pick up a guy half her age all while the guy was hitting on her sister. Here I change my voice and show the interaction with facial expressions and body language.

See, everything can turn into a funny story if you tell it right.

To get more real experiences I have tried to adopt a new way of activating myself. Whenever someone asks me if I wanna join, like anything even remotely related to fun I tend to say: Hell yeah! Instead of... Eeeer maybe...

One thing that can make you interesting is how you see the world. This is a true story:
Quote:
One night, I was sitting on the front porch of a coffee shop with a few friends of mine, when we heard a screech and a bang. We looked up, and sure enough, a cop had rear-ended another cop.

The cops got out of their cars and had a good laugh about the whole thing. So I took it upon myself to yell, "hey, what are you guys supposed to do now? How does this work? Like, do you call us?"

Everyone had a pretty good laugh at that. Then the cops got into their cars and drove away. I never found out what happened with that.
Fun, short little story. Showcases my personality. It's not even, by and large, about something I did, just something that I saw and how I reacted to it. Doesn't include "DHV spikes." Doesn't need to.

Look at the world around you. See what's interesting about it. Find the cool stuff in everyday occurrences, like American Beauty style.

It's not what you have to say, it's how you say it. Look up Juggler's conversation jujitsu and learn from that. According to Juggler, he can make a shopping list sound more interesting than any story out there. It helps if you have interesting material however, so when you come to a fork in the road, take it. Make your life more interesting.
