Good post. The most numerous seems to be the third generation; I being one myself. The newest of aspiring PUAs all enter promising dedication to reach mPUA level but the fact is that many will fall by the wayside. A large chunk will crumble as soon as they experience rejection, others will slowly realise it isn't for them, a few will stop learning too soon and instead of becomng PUAs they're just AFCs with a few routines. Leaving the remaining students, the ones that have entered the field and tested every bit of material until they have the perfect balance which suits them, these will make up a small percentage of the people that started out. And so the cycle will go on. If I were to complain about one thing it would be that most of the PUAs on this forum forget about the initial purposes of a forum such as this- to post field reports and new techniques. So I would strongly like to advise people to get out onto the field, improve and come back with a field report for the rest of us, thats what Ill be doing. Unless more and more of us get out there and field test new stuff the community will not evolve.

A very nice post, xfman.

It's funny that when I first discovered David DeAngelo and started reading his e-book (altough I had already purchased The Game and hadn't yet read it) I had no idea that there was a whole underground PU community. It was a shock to me to find out through The Game that "David DeAngelo" wasn't even his real name! :P

Stuff like this is why people outside the community think it's so weird...

We're working on our social skills and yes that is something to be proud of I agree, but generations, and medallions and secret handshakes make us some sort of dungeons and dragons-esque band of nerds who play a game for pussy.

It's just not true. A lot of the guys in here are cool, but they just don't know what to do or how to act so they get swayed into code names and acronyms, instead of just becoming a more normal socially adjusted version of themselves or better versions of themselves.

So I for one think we should scrap all the nerd talk, take an extra few seconds and speak like regular dudes trying to get better at meeting and dating more girls, because they like them.

I think I'm right on the border between the Second and Third generations.

I got into pickup on June 29, 2007. That's when I found The Game. Little did I realize it, but The Pickup Artist would air in a few months and the (still somewhat) underground world that I had discovered would suddenly be catapulted into the mainstream. It was like waking up into existence right before the Big Bang. The routines that I had learned, and my in-and-out knowledge of the M3 progression would become obsolete because it was so commonplace.

Luckily, I had already moved on. At the beginning of October of 2007, I joined up at the RSD forums and took up natural game, and my results started improving like crazy (I got my first in-game lay eight days after joining the RSD forums). It was during this time that the foundations of my current game began to take shape.

Luckily, I'm also kind of a member of the Zeroth generation, with twelve notches on my bedpost when I first found The Game. Unfortunately for me, I never knew what I had done right to get those twelve girls to sleep with me; NONE of those lays, for instance, had been the result of cold approaches. They were either social circle or the girl opened me. And I kept seeing holes in what I was being taught, because the doctrine didn't agree with my experiences.

So now, here I am. I'm on the verge of taking the bar exam and leaving the world of school forever for the Real World. That means new responsibilities, new opportunities, and new experiences.

I'm not as good as I'm going to get. Even jlaix has said that his game is still developing (specifically, he said that it has developed since the release of the Jeffy Show), and he's been at this for something like five years now.

But DAMN I can't wait until I get my own place so that my extraction logistics get sorted. Then I'll be banging girls like it's going out of style instead of just making out with them and losing the lay to logistics, which is how my pickups usually go these days.

LMAO, I think you might actually be on too something, if we keep all this nerd shit up we might start breeding new generations of PUA'S more like Tyler Durden instead of PUA'S More like Style. PUA'S like style being more open and not weird...lol.

On the other hand I like people avoiding this stuff, it makes it more secret. I hate that theres TV shows about PUA and that movie coming out is definitely not going to be good for the community either. Maybe if we can scare people off we can keep this on the down low for a little longer.
Or maybe im just talking out of my ass

I am so confused right now. Generations? Uh, you lost me. As a Turkish friend of mine tells the girls in Ukraine, "Speak the English!"

So is Pepsi still the choice of a new generation?

I don't want the mods to flip a shit because of how old this thread is but I just have to ask....

I started in 2011. Am I 3rd or 4th generation? Thank you!
