I met a girl yesterday when she was getting off work at the bar I was drinking at. She sat down with me and some friends and we chatted a bit. We talked about meeting up later in the night and exchanged numbers. She texted me a few times throughout the night but we never met up.

Where do I go from here? I was thinking of a casual txt in a day or so and then maybe hit her up to meet for a drink later this week.

What do you think?

I would wait a few days, then 'call', don't text. Agree to meet up for coffee or a drink and get off the phone, don't make small talk over the phone.

Make sure you work on elevating her IL in person.

Would it be too much to ask her to go to a basketball game this week? I have some tickets to see 2 really good NBA teams. Is that too much and might scare her off? Or should I stick to something casual like drinks?

Personally, I would invite her out to lunch or something along those lines first. It's much more causal and you can work on her IL without all the distractions.
