I want to be in a band....

techno=/=bands

So I want to be in a electronic pop rock band.

But here's the catch, I've never played an instrument in my life...

Never sang, never did anything.

So without paying for lessons, how would i learn to play pop rock guitar?

I know how to make techno, and I really wish I could, but I cant...


So to all you people out there in a band (CHIEF)

Whats the best way to get started?
To get known?
To make lyrics?
To write melodies?

Do you want to be in a band because you want people to see you as the shit/have an attractive life?

If the answer is even slightly yes, then I really recommend you reconsider. Searching for validation is never a good thing. If you are comfortable and don't look to others to build your self esteem, then whatever life you have will BE more attractive.

If you want to be in a band the best way to go about it is buy a guitar and sit in front of your computer for a year or so just learning songs you like etc, then just go to shows and hunt for people to be in a band with. As for getting women it is all true, but you have to ask yourself is the time spent locked away in your room when you could be in the field worth the one or two nights you will get a fools mate.
