This is a pattern I've noticed repeatedly:

When I go on holiday, I rarely masturbate. This is usually because I'm around other people when I sleep or I'm simply too damn tired to bother. Also, I usually have more promise of talking to women the next day so I'm less inclined to fantasize.

The result of this, along with developing a pattern of early mornings, high activity and healthy eating, is that when I return from holiday, my mind and body feel refreshed to the point where I feel like a new man. Regular (nightly) masturbation is a hard habit to drop and takes a lot of will-power to go cold turkey on, but I think it's worth it.

Saterday night will now be my masturbation night. It's a good night to have it because it's a night where I'll either be with a girl or wishing I was, thus the time most difficult to resist and so the most likely time to give in and have a satisfying BASH.

This thread definitely has my interest, as I've been thinking about this issue for a long time. I masturbate for the normal reasons, but also when I'm anxious about something I should be doing, or something I'm afraid of doing, like checking my finances or talking to a superior about something that might show myself in a negative light. I masturbate to take the pressure off, especially at night and in the morning, but recently it's been creeping into the afternoon as well. Regardless of what scientific evidence says or doesn't confirm, I can say that in my experience I feel a large amount of energy leave my body after masturbating, and I feel lethargic for many hours later, sometimes the whole day. It feels like entire parts of my mind just get dampened, and I don't even feel like thinking about the issue that was bothering me.

I think right now, masturbation is a way of me avoiding my faults and problems, much like how people turn to alcohol or drugs for the same thing. This past week I've tried not masturbating, just to see what I'd be like. I failed every time, unfortunately. I always found an excuse. I'm going to try again this week and post the results.

It's past midnight, so now it's Tuesday, day three of this little experiment I've been having. It's embarassing to say this, but it's been a lot tougher to cut out than I realized. I feel like a smoker or a drinker left on an island sometimes, not knowing how to go about his day.

However, some good things have been happening as well. Though I could definitely use some better scheduling in my life, I'm a more active, motivated guy with my social life and chores. I just completed over 80 pages of reading today (with notes!) and I can go into my Tuesday grad student schedule -- my busiest day -- and know I don't have to bullshit through the readings. I've even woken up early to work out, something I don't normally do until midnight or later, screwing up my sleep schedule. I've even become more talkative to people. I helped this one kid at my local pool fix his goggles, and his mom thanked me for that. I chatted with the husband a bit too about swimming, and it seemed like he was DHV to me. Odd, but whatever.

I've had some close calls, but I want this thing to last until Sunday. I feel like I'm thinking faster and stronger in general, and that can obviously help out with my sarging later on in the week. I'll let you all know how that goes here (probably badly, as I haven't sarged in ages).

ive noticed i get a lot less NARBS (No Apparent Reason Boners) during the day if i decrease my masturbation. theres nothing i cant stand more than walkin around trying to hide a damn boner....especially on campus :oops:

Quitting cold turkey is very easy.. at least for me.

I got VERY tired of being too shy and having no drive to go up and talk to attractive girls. This has all changed. In the past week I have met three new HB8-9's... when I usually NEVER do.

Anyway, I havnt jerked it in a little over a week.. 8 or 9 days. And I love it.

This is huge for me, too, because I would jerk it once, to 3 times a day! If I had a crapload of free time, 3 would be nice. It just felt so good and rewarding. But now I have much more drive to go up to females and flirt. A LOT MORE.

Will I jerk it anytime soon? Meh, I'm going on a "ten day" rule so that my reporductive organs are stimulated... but I have no need for it really anymore.

as for masturbation, i think it does have an impact on your game, for the worse. me, personally, i find that when i masturbate i lose the will to go out and work for some pussy. i find that if you are an afc and are still struggling to pick up girls, then masturbation is a no go as it will reduce your will to go out and pick up, however if you are already pickin up then i think its fine.

the reasone you feel more relaxed after wanking is that its releases chemicals to the brain, good chemicals, relaxing chemicals, thats why we like sex, or wanking

:roll: This is complete bullshit. Just ask your doctor the next time you go and get a physical, or better yet, do a google search. What you will find is there no empirical studies completed by physicians and medical researchers on this topic that supports this idiots claims.

What you will find is new research done by real scientist and medical professionals that suggest masturbating often reduces the risk of prostate cancer which is the number one form of cancer men are diagnosed.

Since when did being a PUA make someone a Urologist. Talk about overconfidence.

What do these studies on animals and humans tell us about the relationship between testosterone and sexual activity? Many people have always assumed that after sexual activity, males experience a drop in testosterone levels. There is no research we could find that points to a significant drop in testosterone post-ejaculation. In fact research tells us that the opposite seems to be true. Men will have significant jumps in testosterone levels from sexually arousing stimuli(and certain other types of stimuli). The research also suggests that sexual encounters and ejaculation, will not effect and may increase, testosterone blood levels.

Viewing sexually arousing material, without ejaculating, before working out should be beneficial for improving workouts. Ejaculating before working out, would probably not be ideal, since ejaculation also releases endorphins(pain killing) natural hormones in the body. This would in turn effect your strength and energy before your workout.

The chinese study also suggests that abstaining from ejaculation will not increase your testosterone levels long term and hence, not improve your bodybuilding gains. Recent studies are also showing a significant drop in prostate cancer risk, for men who more frequently ejaculate. According to current research, ejaculation (or sex) is not going to lower your testosterone levels, in either the short term or long term.

SO: masturbate as often as you can, then abstain 7 days before a new sarge

Who cares if its not scientific evidence..maybe the caveman analogy was a bit off but most of this shit makes perfect sense..Before i even read this article i myself have noticed that when i masterbate often i have a lower energy and less motivation to pursue woman...The only time i might jerk it is before i have a date or something, just to relax and if we have sex i can go longer...But if i know im going out on the weekend to meet woman i try not to rub one out for a few days before..I think it definitely helps..
