I call it the bag opener. I've been using this opener for day game in the city.

When:
You are either seated next to a girl on public transportation (subway etc.) or adjacent to her in a store.

What:
Look at her bag and immediately (to retain spontaneity) say "Hey, can I ask you where you got that bag?" She will say 'such and such place' and say "OK cool, my friends birthday is coming up and I think she would like that bag." Then start DHV and starting a new convo thread.

How:
Body language is important (I've been much more successful the sooner I say it after seeing the bag and as if I was about to walk by) as is making the new conversation thread seem off the cuff.
I think every PUA should develop a style but the phrasing is important for the opener. By saying "...I think she would like that bag" as opposed to "I like that bag" is a DHV because you mention a female friend and she turns off her pickup defense because the complement is covert and not overt.

I like this opener. It's really what they call a situational opener. So mnay people are trying the "High Tech" openers like "Hey guys quick question and then I have to get back to my friends. Flossing...before or after you brush your teeth?"

Situational openers are always superior to gimick openers. I have been asked after providing a high tech opener like "jealous girlfriend".."So do you meet alot of girls with that line?" Now really it doesn't matter because once they are opened they're opened but still. Sincerity is always superior to gimmickry

I like that one. Good point about mentioning that it would be for someone else. I'd carry on with "She (your female friend) likes bags for some unknown reason. I mean, really, why do alot of girls like bags?.... And they're so expensive aswell aren't they!?" and then mention your Ex had an expensive one that she didn't even use etc etc.

i thought of a great addition to this opener.

When you tell them that your friend might like it, mention that she's in the fashion industry, and so it's important to you to get her really fashionable stuff, something like that.

's a good DHV, because your friend is in the industry (read=probably hot) and it's also complimenting her on her style in a round a bout, not obvious way.

ok im still a newb to this, so after i open with this, and then be like so why do girls even like bags in all this ect, how do i escalate this into kino, comfort and eventually a number close?

Its a great opener and versatile. You can also utilize it to for something else such as make-up, shoes...etc basically anything that is on the target.


Have you tried this for moving targets walking toward your direction?

To reply to nitty1s question: to go from opener to kino to closing etc. is an involved process. You could even write a book about it.
In fact, there are several books on the subject. My favorite being the Mystery Method.

Music28: I like the fashion industry addition. Ive had a few cases of dead conversation while trying to start a new converstation thread after the opener hooks. Ill give this a shot in the field and let you know how it goes.

Chase: I have almost exclusively used this opener for the last week or two with great results. I would be hesitent about morphing it into makeup and clothes though because it references their person appearance which may have them put up their "anti pickup defense". Their bag is an innocuous accesory which is much less threatening to the target.

I havent yet tried it for moving openers but I bet it will work great because you can pretend to notice it as you walk buy. Great idea man.

ok so i know after u open ur suppose to move into routines but i always dont know how to segway it, it seems awkward.

If you wanna trasition smoothly to DHV, you can add in an opinion opener and ask: "Would it even be a good idea to get a girl a bag for a gift? I know girls are really picky about them."

This leads into light conversation from which you can easily transition to your routines. Otherwise, you might just be stuck at "I got it at Macy's" -conversation ends-

A HB7.5 this afternoon said that she got it from Spain. After dropping the "It's my best friends bday..." I was able to ask her about her trip and off we went.
