i dont give a shit if he has no knowledge of how to fight. and as for how to take a kick or smack, thats pure determination. you see a bottle, rock, chair, corkscrew or whateva. use it. doesnt matter how dirty you have to get its survival.
however. outsmart him. the violence is a last resort - but one that if used effectively is garunteed to work. the mma fighter above - if your any good a fighter you will know that smartness overcomes strength or speed. try and smooth things over.

1.
Sarcasm Yeah sure, cause training for a fight is just silly, it obviously has no effect. Never mind what the military/bouncers/security guards/police do.........
2. The ring is different to the street.
3. It's funny your whole "go mental fight dirty attitude" Is probably best held by martial artists and self defence instructors.
4. Smartness is a necessary component, it's a huge boost, but... A Lua gar teacher told me an old saying about a year ago, and I hold it to heart.
Have better technique you will win 5 fights out of 10.
Have better skill (translated as physical ability or experience) you will win 5 fights out of 10.
Have better skill and better technique you will win 10 fights out of 10.
You need to have at least some physical ability when it comes to fighting, otherwise boxers, Muay thai fighters, UFC competitors would not have the ridiculous routines that they do.
Professional fighters have knowledge of fighting (
In their particular field) and a body in top shape. Do you have any idea what the lifting, cardio, theory and diet regieme of a competitive fighter is like?
5. Determination doesn't really come into it, you get snapped in a rear naked choke hold, or jacked up with a bat to the head.... you're going down, determination doesn't come into that one. Training to take a hit will get you over the psychological aspects but physically you need conditioning. So you were half right.

If you want to train for a fight that's your choice, but you need to get good theory and a decent workout regieme. In my opinion if he's already threatining you and he has the intention of going for you. A week or so of training is going to seem a bit pointless.
Hold your frame, let him know that he is out of line. And don't stoop to his level. Once he see's you are determined not to let him get to you, he will probably back off. If he is already intent on attacking you, things could get complicated. You need to size him up and make a guess of whether or not he is the type who would jump another guy.
