I'm a 38 year-old, white, educated professional with an essentially non-existent sex life. I'm not one whit afraid of women, but I lack confidence in my ability to approach and interact. I guess that's approach anxiety, but in my case it isn't fear of the woman exactly, so much as it is an overwhelming consciousness of my lack of a game plan and wondering what I'm going to say to her beyond the opener.
I'm interested in pointers for how to get started. Part of my plan is to come up with 15-20 openers that I'm comfortable with that haven't been beaten to death on Mystery's show and don't sound completely phony. I think this is a pretty good starting point. Conversational strategies and tactics will be next on my list.
