So I came up with an opener I like but I'm a total newbie so I was hoping to get some feedback before field testing this, If you think it's dumb please talk me out of it, anyways here goes...


Approach HB10, hey you see that girl over there(pointing to HB6-7) shes cute right? Whats the best pickup line you've ever heard?

HB10 answers: blah blah

Me: Wow that's the best you got? Ok here goes...(walks to HB6-7 and ask the time or something dumb)(or use the line blaming HB10 for how bad it is, she told me to say it)

Return to HB10 to "celebrate the failure of her line" or bring HB6-7 back to meet her and go from there...


Thoughts? Opinions?

You have the right idea. By opening her and asking for her opinion on another girl, you are immediately disqualifying yourself. This is the beginning of a great opener, but the whole part about the pick up line is where it gets sketchy. Pick up lines are corny. period. Asking for a pick up line in all seriousness is a major blunder.

In order to make this work, you need to turn it into a joke or competition.

Approach her and ask her to participate in your little study. Say something like this.

"Hey, everyone knows that pick up lines are lame right?"

She will respond with a yes.

"Well, my girlfriend tells me she used to have success with pick up lines"

"Do you think girls can get away with using lines and guys can't"

If you keep the conversation going, pick a line and tell her to go open a random guy that you point out. Meanwhile go open a random girl with the same line. Come back and talk about the responses you got. this could be a lot of fun and build serious rapport at the same time.

"Oh are you trying to pick me up now?"

or something along those lines.

Well, it could work... But you see your learning in the wrong way. You should focus on fieldtesting it before... Your own experience is better than any of the advice we can give you here.
