Im 99% sure everyone in this forum has dealt with this problem lol. Anyone want to share how they got past this?


I know some of you would like a context with this question even though I mean it to be general so here is something that has just happened to me. I was online gaming and I opened this 21 year old girl and this is how it went:

You have the advantage of doing it over the internet where it doesn't matter.
Did you expect her to respond to what you stated? You didn't ask her a question. You simply made a statement, and a pretty boring one at that.

She gave you a topic to talk about in her reply. History class. And that's just one of many ways you could have went with it.

An example of a response would be:
"Wow, that's boring. At least tell me they're SECRET history class notes. I guess because I'm a guy, I just imagine that all girl's notebooks are full of gossip and "OMG, I love (your name) so much" scribbles. Have you girls really become that boring? "

With your first sentence in the response, you made the mistake of comforting her in conversation. "I bet it's still interesting" should be replaced with "wow, that's boring". You'll do better next time, man. Like you said, you were drawing a blank when you wrote it anyway, so what do you expect? It wasn't truely you.

P.S. You still me owe me that Lambo I prayed for when I was 16.

Thank you that was helpfull. So what I gather is you should look for something interesting and then make it fun. Simple enough. Is that being reactionary though? Like you can only work off things from your environment. I wonder what you would do if you were in a plain room with her. I guess you would just run routines?

Fair warning: your unintended creepiness may have shut her off completely. That's why it's important to say something really random and funny to help her forget what you just said. Find some more info on her and play off that. For instance, say she has a hamster.

I think ill just move on from her and learn a lesson. You might want to avoid all the compassion stuff. If she can talk about it to a stranger then its not that sensitive of a topic. Don't try to console her, that's what afc's do. And don't come on too strong or say too much. Stay mysterious and stay elusive. Make your response short and sweet. Don't bother bringing up that name game up again, it was a good opener but its probably run out of steam, its best to move on before all she thinks you can talk about is names. Also that routine at the end should be saved for when you meet her in person.

Try something cocky/funny and Amog like this:

"I might consider going. It all depends is ibiza better than fur? I don't feel like getting raped this weekend. lol j/k. I'm pretty busy this Saturday, but if you put me on the list I'll see what I can do.

I'm thinking about just copy and pasting that. I learned to be mysterious and elusive somewhere and I forgot about it. I'm glad you reminded me of it.
The only thing I'm having concerns about is going into her world. I heard on the mind of mystery cd series that whatever she suggests to do the answer is no and then you choose what to do. The first date she should be the one tagging along with you and you lead her through your world not the other way around. I suppose it'd be different if I brought 2 HBs with me.

It's all about frame control. If you go in hoping she might be interested in her, then she won't be. You have to go in BELIEVING she's interested in you (which she is, trust me). Believe your a catch. Believe she should be chasing you. Believe she should be lucky to be graced with your presence. Believe it and act accordingly. DON'T GO AFC! It's easy to do in strange settings, but don't. Believe you belong there. Believe your the most special person there. The good thing about online responses is that you have extra time to analyse them and think of the perfect thing to say. You're initial reponse seemed like you were trying to hard to think of a good reply, yeah you have more time to think of something to say but it's better to keep it simple. Kalel's reponse was pretty good so I'd go with that instead. And going back to what the chick said about Fur... it's not that bad. Do you live around D.C?
