Okay, before I type this out, I just want to say that I HATE that window that pops up on every page I visit on the forum, it's irritating. I'll be scrolling down the forum, and it's delayed so I'll be reading the middle to the bottom topics and it'll pop up. I gotta scroll all the way up just to click "ok" to get it to go away so I can click other things. PLEASE, someone in charge get rid of it, it's really irritating.

Now for my post

This is really simple, you can neg a girl based on it or whatever you want to do, it's pretty functional.

At some point in a conversation, this is what I'll do:

me: blah blah blah [finishing up the last thread]. Tell me something interesting!

Just telling her to say something interesting is a neg because it's indirectly telling her she hasn't interested you yet.

And now the girl has a choice to be sarcastic and tell you something intentionally non-interesting, to attempt to interest you, or not to do either.

In the first case, you can straight up say "that wasn't interesting. FAIL!" or something similar. It's a good neg, even if she was being sarcastic. You come off like she was really trying to interest you, and then she pretty much HAS to prove she's interesting. You can do this if she is genuinely trying to interest you also, but that comes off a little rude if you don't calibrate right or don't use the right tone.

In the second case, it's an IOI just because she wants you to find her and her conversation interesting.

In the third case, it's a flat-out IOD. You need to intrigue her a bit more, and you can probably ask her again later to re-gauge her interest.

So this helps to calibrate and can also be used as a neg. You can tell if the girl is interested, because it's open-ended and you can see if she wants to interest you. You can tell if she isn't interested. Pretty handy little bit.

tested it) After shes done talking about something that took her a long time to talk about put a serious face on and say" what was that?" or "what did you say?" She'll usually laugh but thats if you say it with a serious face and even you'll want to laugh.

What popup window? Do you use Firefox? You should if you don't.

A form of this I like to use is an over the shoulder (usually while engaged in another set)
"Hey. Did you know that I've been in two plane crashes?"
"Really?"
"Yea. Next time I talk to you, you better think of something interesting about yourself to tell me."
Works well in day game on campus, where I see the same people walking by.

there was something that kept popping up promoting that MPUAForum.com. It wasn't a popup per se, it was a little flash advert that overlays on the forum page. I think they got rid of it now
