Small piece of advice from me. Always try and put 'hooks' into your conversation.

Example

Me - Yeah this show is awesome. great way to end my holidays
Her - oh cool how long were you on hols for?
Me - just the week. needed a break from work.
Her - where do you work?

Now when she asked how long I was on hols for I could have said 'just the week. i've been so flat out at work, it's end of month and there's just so much work' but I left it at that and she asked where I worked. Or I could have asked where she works then told her where I work and that I'm off work for a week.

That conversation went for about 30 mins and she even introduced me to her friend and someone her friend met that night.

Hooks are great in that they can create mystery - the girl wants to know more. And if she doesn't pick up on them then you simply eject knowing she wasn't interested.
