Ok, my goal at the moment is to get used to the game and get as much number closes as possible... I wanna tell you how I'm doing it at the moment and please help me if I'm doing wrong.

1. Opener (Hey, I can't stay very long I have to get back to my friends soon, but can you answer me two questions please: 1st scariest scene in a movie, 2nd song that makes you feet happy)
2. number guessing routine: hey, do you beleive in magic? well, lets make a lil test: number between 1 and 10, blah blah blah
3. hey i think I gotta go back to my friends now, it was nice to meet you. and i'd like to continue this: how can we stay in contact?
4. number close

thx for the helping

Peace

If you like being a robot go for it. Make up your own stuff, this is about having fun and cultivating yourself into being a better person; not mindlessly getting a number for the sake of a number. If you are JUST starting then maybe it may help to eliminate some fear, but its better to do the style challenge or walk around everywhere just starting conversations with anybody without the intentions of getting a number.

Osiris has a point, but I disagree on one key point.

We all need a place to start, and that usually involves some sort of method. Don't rely on the number-guessing game; it's tricky and doesn't work every time. Try and pad your repertoire a bit, add things like re-threading, the CUBE, and some routines.

When you're comfortable, start building your own style. Mine is pieced together from aspects of Mystery Method and Juggler Method, with some DeAngelo thrown in for good measure. It has a structure, but it's an open structure that allows for a lot of improvisation. It might not work for you (one person's style rarely fits another person's). Do some research, build a style, but most importantly, just get out there and talk to pretty girls.

I agree with monkey on this one, just because you have a routine doesn't mean that you cant deviate from it sometime. Switch things in and out as needed.

Ya don't always have to follow an exact pattern, if shes feeling you, no need to act like you have to leave...Stick around and ride it out, I rarely leave a conversation anymore. Its pointless to do if you don't have to.
