Yea, I had a similar thing happen to me. As lame as it may sound, I learned about the community after watching Mystery's TV show. I was so pumped that I decided I would try to open my second set one night when I was out at a bar. There weren't many choice targets so I decided to approach a whole table of girls, thinking if the guys on the show can do this than why can't I! I had the social proof because I was with a big mixed group, and so I thought I would DHV with a story and introduce them to my sister. Now I didn't follow the 3 second rule, so to get over my AA I told my bro that I was gonna go over there and pick up a girl.

So, I walk over to this table and approach 2 of the HB5's by sort inserting myself in between thier 2 chairs on the end, but they kind of had thier chairs facing away from my position. I tryed the Female Opinion opener that I had seen used on the show dozens of time. And apparently she watches TV too because she cuts me off mid way and goes, "Do you know Mystery?". And I'm all blowing her off like I don't know what she's talking about, "Mystery? What's the mystery?". I try to continue but she insists that I know Mystery, and proceeds to tell me that I'm doing the same thing the guys do on this VH1 show did to pick up girls. The only hook point I reached was when they both hooked thier chairs around to face even further away as I continued to try to get her opinion on w/e the fuk I was asking them.

Needless to say. I was disappointed and discouraged after that. I concluded that I could still use canned material, but I can't use opinion openers due to the popularity of the show. I have a greater sense of urgency to develop my own material using the principles of the tried and tested canned material.

yeah i havent encountered that problem but i dont think i will because i dont use canned openers i personally dont recommend it. if u get good u can practically open with anything. i opened nearly 500 girls with hi. i never had a bad responce because how can they reject you if ur just saying hi? then have a simple conversation. and eventuallly you will find ways to take the conversation. your doing good.

I'm glad this thread is here. I'm a rookie and was thinking after my first night and grazing on here...this has gotten popular. What if I'm "called out" on sarging.

I have never watched the show so I don't know those canned openers. I was out the other night and opened with opinion ?s about if they'd prefer male/female stippers and tatoos vs piercings. Given my low level of experience right now...Hhaha..I think I'd be like the "deer in the headlights" look.

But, I'm playful naturally...so I think with more time researching/learning on here and field tests, I can come up with unique openers.

This ain't good for the AA lol
