| Just thought of this one and have yet to try it. Theoretically I like it.
Me: Hey, lemme ask you a question.
HB: What?
Me: What do you think the top 3 things guys look for in a girl are?
HB: blah blah blah
Me: (Boldly disagree with anything they say... unless these ARE your top three)
My thought process on it is:
a. It's a relationship question - chick crack
b. It implies you're not trying to pick them up. If you were trying to pick them up, you'd be asking them what impresses THEM.
c. It immediately puts them on the defensive. In other words, they've got to think about what they have to offer a guy (in this case, me). This suggests that I'M the valuable commodity and not them.
By disagreeing with whatever they say, you neg and you demonstrate further that you're not on a pick-up.
However, if they, for some bizarre reason, totally nail your top three reasons then they are probably a pretty bad ass chick and you need to maintain your congruency and admit (at least to yourself) that she's right. You can still neg by saying, "Lemme guess. You pulled that out of Cosmo."
You can go a lot of places with the disagreement.
Let's say she says, "Looks" as #1. Roll your eyes and say something like, "Figures.... Have you ever HAD a boyfriend. (Smile and wink). If she says yes, then you can go into, "I bet the reason he broke up with you had nothing to do with looks." If she's smokin' hot she'll have to admit to this and you gain value because you're right. You'll gain more value because you told a hottie that she's DEAD wrong, and she's wrong particularly about guys... something she probably thinks she's got down pat. If she says she hasn't had a boyfriend (she's probably lying) then you can tell her it's obviously because she has no clue about men. Whether she's lying or not you've still neg'd her and she's got to work to gain face with you.
Like I said, this is all just stuff in my head and I have yet to try it but I'm interested to see how it comes off.
