I generally have what I like to call "million dollar ideas" on about a weekly basis.

I usually tell me friends about them, they give their opinions, blah blah

BUT last week I had a brilliant idea for a website that I am going to really do. I can't tell y'all about it until I've made my million off of it.

I went to the bookstore that night to figure out how to turn this idea into profit.

Because I had only told my friends, I actually needed people's insights into it. I told them about my invention and asked if they would use it/buy it.

It opened exceptionally well.

It is also a wealth of conversation fodder, which is not usually the case with the opener. The kicker is that you also DHV a bit by showing that you are creative and ambitious.

you sound like me, i have 1001 ideas & inventions... (ADD creative type)

but i think that most chicks dont understand us... and then its not DHV, they just think you are not fit for this world.

could be DHV for some chicks (i have experienced that too), but not for all...

although maybe its better to ask strangers their opinion on your inventions than to ask your friends/family, because if you ask the same people everytime about different ideas they think you're nuts and its also DLV if you need their opinion everytime and cant make up your mind alone.

so that you are creative is a DHV, but that you need their opinion on it might be DLV (why arent you strong enough to make up your own mind without their little opinion?)

that sounds like a good opener and bound to get to the hook point. However its one that requires the pua to be extremely creative with words when push comes to shove.

OK so here is one that I came up with but that my electrical engineer friend says already existed (although I have never heard of nor seen one).

It's called Green Bikes. They would be bikes and elipticals at gyms that use the power you generate to help contribute to power the gym. This way, you could help the environment while doing something that you already do. There would also be a website where you would put in your workout facts and it would tell you how much carbon was saved from your workout.

In terms of DLV, it is really how you frame it. I frame it as a great, exciting idea, but I just need to get a consumer opinion. I also refer to them at some point as a focus group.

If it is framed as: "I have this idea, but I'm not sure if it's any good, what do you guys think?". Not as cool.

Openers are not really meant to do a whole lot but start a convo which it does. This is great because it has the added bonus of the DHV via creativity.

If you're articulate and capable of expressing the invention in a way that would seem beneficial to the target then not only would it create interest but DHV as well.

I like using my surrounds on what is going on in the situation. For example if I am at a house party and some girls are sitting in the corner all by themselves looking like they are not having a good time. I will come up to them and say "wow you girls look like the life of the party I want to talk to you" and they usually laugh about it and then I can start an opener on them.
