Hey Guys, great site here, I am Mike from the UK....only just stumbled on this a while back so thought I would join after much lurking :). I am after some good pointers to get me back on track after a painful break up a few months back, I feel I have lost the old alpha male confidence and air about me I used to have. I was 20 when I got hooked up and I am now 26 and we finished a few months back. My worry is that I have been out the game so long now I might have lost my skills I picked up as a youngster :( I work in London in a fairly high powered job, wear smart shirt and collar to work everyday and there are always loads of stunning girls I would love to chat to on the train and walking about in London but cant find the confidence to do it. Do you have any good reading for an out of practice newb.

I feel I am a fairly good looking chap and have a fair bit going for me, its just that initial confidence thing that I have lost after the whole breakup

Cheers guys

Mike

Hi Mike,

Welcome back!

Don't you worry... you've learnt many things in this 6 year relationship which will help you be better than you were at 20, a lot better.

The best thing you learnt is how a woman is really like on the inside, inside all that make-up, all the masks, and the attitude she's showing at one point....

Now you know that if you behave with a girl, as you did with your girl after knowing her for a long time... it will create the same sort of connection between you and the new girl...

Yes the first few seconds are crucial... confidence is built up by action and exercise...

let's take it step by step...

next time you're in the london underground ... just smile at a girl you like... or say HI... and do nothing else and deal with the pressure of maybe being rejected... SO WHAT?

that's the hardest thing really... from then on... it's a matter of sharping your communication and leadership skills... :)

Hi Sorin

Thanks for the reply, I will reply to your PM when I get a second too.

I definatly feel like I have learnt a lot from the relationship, my problem comes when trying to get that initial interest fired up, ie the approach I guess

I like that idea, its just a difficult city to practice in as London is a hostile place and people are not as freindly as other citys :( I guess a hello is easy enough and at the end of the day, I have nothing to lose even if they blank me....in fact it will probably make them look more silly ignoring me in front of everyone after I was just being freindly ;)

Communication and leadership need work to be fair.....although once im started im usually ok, I guess for me its that initial starting point thats the hardest, ie a bar opener, or cold approach on the tube etc

Cheers

Mike
