What do people think of this one? I think it could be quite powerful in the right situation, but it needs some fine tuning. I haven't really tried to develop something like this before. Also the stages need cooler names, but that's not as important as the idea:

Stage 1: The Set Up
Organise to do something unusual, different together, something DHV, quirky, memorable. You're the cool, unusual guy who does his own thing. Something like going climbing, watching an unusual (not hollywood) movie, go to a PUA seminar together (haha, bad idea, scratch that one). Anyway, you get the idea.

Stage 2: The Middle Bit
"Actually, I don't think we should go climbing/see that movie/whatever, you'd hate it/it'd scare you/some sort of neg."

Stage 3a: They put up a big fuss
If they put up a big fuss, well now you've sort of got what you want - they're chasing after you, and you can build on this. Probably you should relent after a while. One thing I'm not sure of is how best to amp this up and use it to get more.

Stage 3b: They don't put up a big fuss
That's easy, have an alternative prepared, something still exciting but a bit tamer. Have it happen later than you were going to go climbing or whatever. Then when you see them you can talk about how you went with X instead (should X be a girl or a guy?) and how it was so incredibly awesome, you're bummed they couldn't really do it. Whatever, something to build some jealousy.

So yeah, as you can see it's still sort of under construction, but what do people think?

A potential problem I see with this now I could be wrong, if I am some one will no doubt clear it up. This mainly applys to 3b as 3a still involves the original plan.

You make plans with her, she agrees, you then become the one to flake. When you have given the girl your word, stick to it, this will make it more likely to put her replication value investment in you. You need to show her some integrity.

In a way you are also punishing her agreeing to join you, and I'm sure you would gain more if just actually went on the origianal amazing plans.

I like the fact you are trying to be a challenge and showing a willingness to walk away, and building jealousy. In my opinion right idea wrong implication. Possibly the jealousy could be throw in by initially saying two options for the set up and that you will decide later on today once you've sorted out your other plans. Then call her tell her which one your doing as 'girl Y' has asked you to do the other one.

(Never underestimate the power of cool names as the stages, if one of the stages becomes operation Chuck Norris, or is it Rye Lee. They are pretty much the same person these days. I may have digressed.....)

Yeah, 3b was kind of a fall back for if they're just like "oh ok, that's cool", which they could be either because they're ambivalent about doing whatever, or they're ambivalent about doing whatever *with you*, or because they give you more credit than you're worth

Good idea about setting it up as two options - something along the lines of:
"I really wanna do cool thing X, but also keen to do also (but less) cool thing Y, but just got to sort out my plans I'll call you later bla bla bla"
...
"Damn, thinking about it, you won't like X, it'll be too whatever. I'm gonna head out to Y with that HB you know, why don't we do Y later/earlier."

Now the question is: do you organise to do it earlier or later? It probably depends on the person, but it seems to me that it should be later, otherwise it makes you look a bit needy...? Or are you at risk of being so careful about not looking needy that you are impossible for them to get to?

As for cool names... hell yes, marketing counts for a lot. But I'm not setting myself up to be some kind of uber-PUA, and I can't be bothered wasting my time marketing to everyone else here.
