OK so I have a lot of time off work this summer and want to get myself to a place where there's sunshine and warmth and all the good things that summer can provide but unforunately the UK doesn't seem to be able to provide.

So I've decided to do a bit of travelling round Southern Europe this summer. Basically I'm thinking of going to Barcelona, and then any combination of Portugal, Spain, Italy or Greece that sounds practical and enjoyable, hitting the local night spots in each place and enjoying the cities / country during the day, as well as catching a few rays and so on.

I am thinking of doing this on my own but if there are any London / UK sargers out there that fancy tagging along for the whole or part of the trip then let me know. If you're not from the UK and wanna join as well, then that's cool as long as your English is OK!

I'm thinking low budget, so youth hostels and the like. I'm thinking of travelling in August.

Thanks man! I'm glad people like the blog - I basically write it for myself and then for people like me who want to see how other people deal with learning this stuff.

Are you in Barcelona? Can you recommend any good places to go out there?

And I don't have a problem with it being easier to hook up in holiday destinations - I guess it's like training wheels, like routines are training wheels for natural flirting...!
