and you still talk to the person here and there on the phone.
but rarely see each other in person.

it depends on what your intentions are. You have already scored so i'm assuming you want more? or do you want a serious relationship? I would usually say that I miss a specific thing about them and kind of work a neg into it too. Has worked on my ex couple times for a little fun after a while of being broken up.

i'd kind of agree with burner that u shud kind of use it with a neg,
like say something like " i reeeeaaally miss u, but i had a dog who used to bother me alot, pee arnd the house, tear up my bed sheets etc etc. and once my frend decided on taking him home 4 a day, i reeeaaly missed him too"
