I thought about posting this before, but figured that the board would support this idea without me saying it. The Saint (who I used to be friends with) came up with pretty much the same idea for a friend to do a while back and he told me that the other guy tried it and it worked.

Basically the guy would go up and say, "Hey I'm ____ can I buy you a drink? I'm an accountant, what do you do?" or something like that, then he would completely turn it around and not buy her a drink, start talking about something else with an alpha personality from then on. The idea was to lower her defenses and have her assume you're just like every other guy, then show her that you're not like everyone else and catch her with her guard down.

Personally I like Beschatten's better, cause I think it's a lot easier to turn around and make it look like you were just screwing with them and make it funny that you pulled a trick on them, rather than trying to DHV so much that you overcome your DLV.

So I tried this technique this weekend in NYC, and it worked OK.

I think that it takes some practice with the transition but in terms of opening, the women were very receptive.

This could be a very effective strategy.

Agreed. I field tested it as well. I'm working on a step by step model for it.

I could see this working well in NY from the weekend I spent there. I found them to be pretty resistant to direct game and kino, as they have very solid personal space bubbles from constantly being surrounded by people.
