Last Night. First approach of the night.

So I walk up to this 2 set of HB6 - one may have been a 7...I'm being generous here.

I just wanted to try them - no expectations of course.

Hero: Hey, let me get your guys' opinion, what's the difference between cute and hot?
HB7: Isn't that from the book, The Game?
Hero: (to myself) $hit!
Hero: Huh? I don't know..I never read it.. is it a good book?
HB7: I haven't read it actually I just picked it up in a bookstore and flipped through it.

Sort of threw me for a loop at this point. I should have had some material ready to stack. What do you guys thing?
BTW this is my first post so don't make it hurt too bad.

HAHAAHA. That happened to me about 4 times. To be quiet honest, I stopped using openers and what not. I kind of created my own game by just taking the advice of over 6 PUA's. But your right, The Game has been commercialised and your going to run in to that. Just move to the next set, or don't use direct openers from the book.

Haha. Openers taken from the most mainstream PU book around?

Don't worry - you're nowhere near the only one. BUT lesson learned early, which is good, right?

Yeah. I think that would have been the best course of action. Just cut the thread like it never happened and jump to how do you two know each other. Thanks for the tip.

haha I had the same response a few days ago by a chick too when i tried a game opener

A chick said to me " you have read the game havent you " and started laughing with her friend

I said with a straight face " What is the game?" She said "Its a book", i was like " A book? On what" She replied " On how to pick up chicks.."

My response was ' Well ok, There is a book written specifically on how to pick up women, and without reading it... I am doing right now exactly what it is recommending you do?"

One of the chicks was like 'Yeah pretty much"... I just said with a blank look " That is awesome. " and got a laugh out of them. Didn't close any of them but it started a good conversation.
