I just got up and moved to a new town 500 miles from where I lived before, because im impulsive and wanted a change of pace.. Solo sarging in a town i've never been to before has proved to be the hardest thing I've ever done.

So I went into some shops today, okay just 2 because I was so discouraged.
I needed a rash guard and leash for surfing. So I go into the shop right on the board walk and ask where are the rash guards. She acts disgusted she has to get off her cellphone from texting someone. I say sorry I didn't see those i must be blind, in a sarcastic tone. She doesn't respond, I ask her what size i should get. She says get whatever.

Obviously pissed off about something, she didn't even bother to stop texting when ringing me up, and her co worker acted the same way.

Then I just got all new credit cards, and I didn't activate the one i gave her, so it came back as declined. She acted so put out, how dare she have to look at me for another minute.

I seem to be getting this a lot.

Where as where I'm from, I would have had said "is someone having a bad day?" or "i thought they paid people like you to be nice to the customers" but in this area newport beach the girls get even more bitchy after I say something like that.

I dont know what to do. Get tan and buff?

trackjunkie I was reading your post and I was thinking this sounds very much like where I live. Then you said you where in Newport, and I knew exactly why you where having problems with the girls at the surf shop.

First off welcome to the OC where most of the females are bitches. Secondly how tall and white are you (I am assuming your white)? Because if your not at least 5'10" and have somewhat of a tan your basically shit out of luck when it comes to girls around here. Pickup girls in the OC is not an easy thing to do. Heres a couple of things to keep in mind when deal with the girls and people of the OC:

- Most people have an "I am better than you" attitude
- A lot of girls are materialistic and/or into status/image
- Physical looks and money tend to play a bigger role than anything else

As far as picking up girls in the OC you need to get your attitude on and start not giving a shit. Because you are going to need to build up your shield in dealing with the girls here. If you don't mine me asking where did you come from? And if you have any questions feel free to ask me as I also live in the OC in a city known as Fullerton. Which is about 30 minutes from Newport.

Get a hobby and meet friends there. Otherwise, just sarge solo, I do it all the time.

Hey, thanks man I've really stepped up my game, catching them on little things.

I'm 6'1 but fair skinned, slim athletic build. I've done a fair amount of time in tanning beds too.

I came from norcal, the girls there are so nice and sincere.

Your welcome. Since your new here and not yet with the cultural of things yet. You may want to spend some time people watching and basically learn the cultural. That should help you with your game.
Do not go to the tanning bed. This is not New Jersey. Your on the freaking beach for god sake. Just spend some time in the sun and you will get a natural tan that will look much better than a fake one. A natural tan says you spend time outside which a lot of girls will dig and want in a guy in the OC

Physically speaking you seem to be fine. Just make sure you keep your body in shape. You don't need to bulk up or anything. Height wise your good as long as you pretty much stay away from the taller girls. Meaning ones that are 5'10" as not all of them want a just a guy barely taller than them.
I been to NorCal a couple of times, and the girls there are nicer than down here. But it seems girls everywhere in the US but in the OC are nice. Tho I think once you get to know the cultural and build up your shield and start to go out and meet people more local to you, you be fine.

One more thing as I am sure you may have notice already is people talk a good game. Meaning they talk as if they are a somebody but in reality they are not. Which means you need to work on your DHV skills and be able to dish out the DHV with ease. As your going to find a lot of people talking and in reality they aren't goinf to do jack for ya. And watch out for the drama. As it basically comes hand in hand with the talking thing I mentioned.

dude that is so true, people come up with these elaborate stories, I don't know how anyone could believe that they're true. I'm going back to norcal aug 1. So im enjoying it here as much as possible. Hitin the surf every morning.

I have to disagree with you guys. I am from the SF Bay area, and all the chicks I ever run into are uber liberal feminists that would cut your dick off as soon as they found out you were trying to hit on them...

Now given, the ladies in the clubs up here are a little loose and out going, but man, I would really like to know what places you guys hung out up here, because i just do not see it.

On the contrary, I have gotten laid everytime I have been down to the OC or LA or even San Diego. (6'0, muscular, asian BTW).

Yeah, girls are much more materialistic down there, but it usually seems to work to my advantage.

Thats crazy. I have been up to San Fransisco multiple times and the times that I have hit on the girls there they have been nice to me. I haven't been up there for a while now but it seem for me any place I go that is out side the OC and LA area the girls for the most part are nicer than the ones I run into here.
Height, money and, being materialistic will pretty much get you laid even with crappy game down here. Hell even just pretending you have money will do the trick.

You could just burst out laughing when a girl there is really unresponsive towards you, then she will usually ask why are you laughing, easy enough.

But to me it sounds like you have a strange body language and the girls act for it.

Yeah...on a serious not it's pretty sad when you look around and all you see is Paris Hilton clones running around, I personally like my women with a little more substance...it's too bad that area of Cali is so material minded.

As far as the bay area is concerned however, I don't know, I just don't have much luck with the faux intellectuals and hipsters... it's probably because I don't like Obama, hahah.
