I think in general accents or being foreign are just another way of Peacocking and having something interesting about yourself as a conversation starter. I hate to admit it but in my AFC days a half English half Welsh dude i would quite often put on a bad American accent and get girls that way and a few times it worked suprisingly well. About a month back I was out in Leicester Square (which always full of americans buying over priced beer) I was talking to some girls from Texas when one of them started feeling me up saying "with that accent you'd get so much ass in the states."

People in europe can get a bit annoyed with americans because there is a feeling you dont recognise that the rest of the world exsists. WTF lol I think thats a bit of a bad generalisation as far as Europe goes look at us Brits first in line to join you yanks in a Brawl, or for warlike Europeans the Germans were doing pretty good in the first half of the Century, and as far as latino's being smooth and relaxed look at South America i think after soccer killing each other is there main past time.

I'm mainly referring to religious influence, particularly from the original Puritans who came here to escape from persecution.

As far as I know, religious girls are no different from other girls. Ok, catholics feel sinful afterwards but they have the same needs as everybody else.

Yeah thats a fair one mate but what you dont realise Americans are so much easier to open up than Europeans, because your'e alot friendlier and more sociable, and thus more likely to talk to strangers. Well thats the opinion I get from most of the Americans I met. Europeans can often be seen as being snooty and uptight that comes from the fact that as countries we have populations concentrated in a crowded space so we have to be more formal and respect each others privacy same as Japan so talking to strangers is more of a Cultural Taboo. However I can Imagine New Yorkers being like this also although I have never met any.
