I have been reading the memiors of jacques casanova... they are more entertaining than anything. not much knowledge when it comes to pickup or social dynamics. very historical though. The guy definately lived an eventful life..

so what books have ya'll been reading?

Zen Sex by Philip Toshio Sudo

It's pretty good stuff. It talks about sex as a chance to achieve enlightenment, reframing it as a natural and mutual form of Zen meditation.

I've also been reading Influence by Robert B. Cialdini

It's one of those old recommended background reading texts for pickup. Good psychological stuff about the art of persuasion.

Eh, whenever I grab the time, I'll normally read Romance of the Three Kingdoms. While I think about it, I really need to finish(or really start over) on The Art of War, The Book of Five Rings, and I Ching.

You guys may enjoy Robert Greene's shit.....War, The 48 laws of power, and Seduction.

Basically just talks about historical examples of how "influence" has been used. Although the take on the book is how to manipulate your "victim", i just enjoy all the history included in this book and how social dynamics were used by thomas jefferson, napolean, cleopatra, etc, etc

sorry for double post, but i've read that the book was recommended as a must read by Tucker Max...and i actually have gone out and bought the thing. The book however is something you have to study and meditate on as it's fucking confusing(atleast for me). Not something you can speed read through.....has anyone ever read the book Adapting Minds?

Subject matter i believe is just evolutionary psychology.

I just finished Influence last night. It's a great book. Although I would hardly describe it as gripping, it does have a lot of good info.

I've just started Derren Brown's 'Tricks Of The Mind'.

i thought that learning a few magick tricks would be a good thing to do too.. maybe I will check it out. The thing .. the magic book i picked up had terrible instructions and teaching..

is it hard to learn chris angels tricks?

something that really brings in a womans attention is numerology... My mom and her friend have been numerologists since I was a kid.. and the skill really intrigues people... of course you should do any of it until the rapport stage..

I think I will write a post about it soon
