Ok, now, after you read the subject you are probably thinking to yourself "wtf? he is an international athlete and cant DHV about it :O" well, its a little bit complicated due to social sterotypes....
Firstly, the sport is basketball, and admittedly its only the U22s team but thats becacuse i well, U22

Sounds good, i also play for 2 sinior national teams, in the 1st and 3rd division.. even better.
Here is the catch though... Due to certain things (no need for a sob story, cos i am cool about it) its wheelchair basketball because i am unable to play the "normal" game. Now, i personal have no problem with this although people i have told about this tend to change their opinion of it when they realise that its "only" wheelchair basketball.
For whatever reason they seem to think that it is "lesser" and probably think its a game played by "special people" (if u have seen the south park episode with the "special olympics" then you will get the idea). This isnt the case (most people in the sport have leg probems eg amputes, paralised etc etc).
Now people dont directly say those things but you can tell the sparkle and admiration in their eyes disappear.
Now my question is, when i tell people about this how can i make it seem just as impressive? How would you mpua's tell the story of being an international basketball player who reprosents your country?
