I found something on youtube from an old show called magic tricks revealed, and I came across a simple trick that is very similar to the ESP routine. Here's how it goes:
You tell them to think of a two digit number between one and fifty. Both digits must be odd and they can't be the same number. Statistically they will choose the number 37 because after all of the restrictions on what numbers they can choose, they are only left with 13, 15, 17, 19, 31, 35, 37, and 39. I just thought this was very similar to the ESP with the number 3 and then the number 7. It will sound more 'astounding' because you choose their number from a wider range of numbers. If you guess wrong,
you can easily play it off like you would in the ESP routine. I would say something like, "Wow, most people pick 37. You must be weird or something".
I haven't field tested it, because I saw it literally 10 minutes ago, but in my opinion it would make a solid routine.
This trick starts at 3:17, and they have a really good explanation on why people pick 37. Also, if you have the time, at 5:23 they have a simple card trick that is really good, which I am definitely going to learn it as well.

Just an update, I finally got to field testing this and it worked really well. Every time I ran it (5 times) they always picked 37, so I think that your odds are better than with the regular ESP routine.
I normally am not a fan of magic tricks, because most of them require tons of practice or some props that I would never carry around, but this card trick is actually really easy to perform and is actually pretty cool; when I first saw it I was amazed. You guys should check it out!
I like it... This seems like something I may stack to build kino and compliance.
Maybe something like ok "I learned a magic trick let me try it on you"
blah blah blah do the pick a number between 1-10 one and pick like 2 or something that has a very high chance of being wrong... then say that it was just a warm up and you need to have a connection with her to read her mind... hold out your hands palms up and have her put her hands in yours palms down, and then do this 1-50 one.
I'm gunna field test that because it sounds awfully good on paper so far... But the field tells no lies... well at least not as many

Card tricks for example...don't bother. If you're at a bar and you pull out a deck of cards you may as well pull out a pocket protector. And opening a set with magic can be extremely tricky unless you know a couple secrets of how to do it effectively.
I've had girls eating out of the palm of my hand I've also had them bust me and figure out what I was doing. But with a couple of the right techniques you can easily turn it back to your advantage.
By the way, using Magic in your game can be one of the easiest way to slide Neg hits in there w/o looking like an a$$.
There's even one mentalist effect I've used for years that I call "S.E.X." that gets a girl to feel like she's really in sync with you and that you can read her emotional energy. Sound out there? It's simple to do, but the reactions are simply amazing.

I'd be happy to elaborate in more detail, but I can't reveal the secret on this message board.
The essence is that I get a girl to remember a very happy moment in her life and fully associate into it, if only for a second. I'll jokingly* suggest that she use her best sexual experience because it's a powerful emotion. Once she has it, as my back is turned I have her touch a certain object (unknown to me). When I come back or turn around I have a routine where I look at her and concentrate and then can identify the object she "transferred her emotional energy" to every time. Works like a charm, simple to pull off, but simply amazing to watch.
Can do it in small or big groups...always equally impressive.

Those tricks were fantastic and I can see me paying for them all once my wing gets back from Spain. The ony thing I found was I was watching the 3 free tricks, but the video only showed me two, I get an error when trying to watch the 3rd, basically the video just stops as if I have hit the stop button - goes back to the start. I have tried to get to the third and it does nothing but repeat stropping the video etc.
I've tried the 1 to 50 number game. I have gotten 37 a few times. But mostly I got 17 or 35. 17 was my number one answer. Recently I've been getting 37. So I wonder if I'm saying it differently now that causes more people to think 37. Anyone else have troubles with this?
