So there's a huge dispute between arrogant newbies that try to act cool about direct vs indirect and naturals vs methods.

PUA is more than just picking up girls, it's a lifestyle. When you guys hear that being said, do you get what we're trying to say??
It's NOT about just girls. Nope. It'll help you have a better enjoyment in LIFE, not just girls. It'll help you with your landlord, with your boss, with everything.

But anyways, here's how a real PUA should do it.
1. Start off using methods and canned material.
2. Slowly transition to natural.
3. Use method when needed and be natural most of the time.

All the method and canned material being put into exercise with your mind will make you 'naturally' act like you would because you'd be soo used to acting like how you would when using successful material. Everything'll just come to you 'naturally'.

Here's what I personally do. I use A1-A3 and then I'm all natural. Canned material and routines are just what I see as 'something fun a friend told me about' and I'm not my friends, but they are still important.
So it's like how you'd occasionally tell a story or joke a friend once told you. Not all the time, but occasionally.

A1 - A3 meaning..?

I have noticed a lot of PUA use canned material in the field, but girls were able to tell that they were not being congruent.

What I did was I took a canned opener and modified it to make it of some importance to me.

He means A1, A2, and A3 stages from the Mystery Method progression outline. In other words he uses this material and follows the progression model exactly as it's stated in MM - from attraction/opening (A1) to female-male interest (A2) to male-female interest (A3). After that he goes all natural without any outside models for reference.

I agree completely. You must be able to transition from an opener that is 'spontaneous' to your personality. All the opener is doing is giving you an excuse to demonstrate to the woman that you truly do have the survival and replication value that the woman deeply needs.

As my game has improved, and it still has far to go, I have adapted my attraction building phase a lot more to my real self and less canned material.

I started of using canned material for openers, and like beyondevil, I found out that I wasn't always congruent. Now I think you should always modify them to make it more personal. I'm also fond of situational openers.

Yup, and when I started out I was soo overwhelmed by the canned material and thought they were 'magical words'.
Well once you get it down good enough (I practiced for weeks in front of my bathroom mirror), you'll be congruent.
You'll feel very very emotionally unstable, fake, and just uncomfortable.
But you'll feel great, natural, and very comfortable as time passes by.
Just remember not to give up. That's the worst thing ever.
And PUAs respect each other. We don't talk crap about different methods and PUGs being 'stupid' or 'pussylike'.
Any PUG can kick your ass, no matter what method they're using.

The whole PUA thing is really a way to use social engineering really. I think once people realize that it may become easier to do, let alone understand what the whole PUA thing is really about.

a pua can be whatever he wants to be, a pua can be just for picking up girls if he wants its up the pua what he wants out of it!!

Looking back on when I started a long while back, I would say that the main thing the game has given me is confidence.

I now have (I like to think) a pretty good C&F game, but this now reflects more on me as a person as i'm alot more confident in myself, and this has helped me get a better job too, so yes, it's alot more than just about getting the girls.
