I think I've found a way around my problem but my main concern is/was as follows...

I see people with peacocking hats, I see mystry with a hat or a beanie... How on earth do people get away with this... Maybe its a UK thing but EVERY pub, club, lounge, restaurant I goto theres either doorstaff or staff inside the venue that say -
"you need to remove your hat"
"why???"
"because it prevents trouble/we can see your full face and can identify everyone/its for security purposes"

OK, I can see their point but is it just the venues I'm going to or are most places like this?

I mentioned I found a way around it?... Well my hair is light brown with quite big spikes, I bought some semi-permanent blonde dye and some blue dye and just dyed the tips of the spikes... EASILY gets a "cool hair" comment from a HB just needing to make a response for it...

The majority of clubs have a policy like that on hats, it's not a big deal really. If you go somewhere a lot and earn the trust of the door staff or the management then you can get away with little things like that. I have my favourite places where everyone knows me, and it's great. They have rules such as no hats, no hoop earrings, no tattoos, no this and no that... it's basically just to keep out people they have sterotypical views about, out of fear of them causing trouble. But if they know you well and respect you as a customer then you get treated better.
