lmao there is no rite way to ask trust me on dat one
lol, rite is spelled Right and dat is spelled That.
The actual words are easier to type than the abbreviations because of the positioning of keys on the board, you are actually putting in an effort to sound like a bufoon.. and also there is a 'rite' way of asking, it has already been mentioned.
I hate to be a dick, but lately that's what I'm good at. that depends on the keyboard layout you're using. If you're using a US-DORVAK keyboard right/left depending on your dominant hand, then yes, it is much easier. However, even a US-QWERTY keyboard doesn't make all US English words easier to type...
The positioning of the keys was set that way so that the most commonly used keys were spaced apart, so a typewriter wouldn't get stuck as often.
lol, you better believe im going to fight back for this.. I've never been more passionate about anything in my entire life. Sry for getting off topic rye, but this is personnal now..
Ok, in the example of 'rite' versus 'right' in 'rite' there are 4 clusters of keys involved. each of the keys required an extra movement because of their positioning being too far apart. whereas 'right' has 3 clusters, one for the R one for the I and one for the ght. Making it faster to type. In the issue of 'dat' versus that the positioning of d, a and t means the awkward strokes take longer, each have 3 clusters.. this one is open for debate.
