Great community here. Just joined..and feeling desperate. I'm a good guy, probably way too nice (i'm told). I have no skill with women. I'm not great looking but not ugly either, 6'3, senior in engineering, got money for a college guy.. a few things I'd think chicks would like.

All I really want is a girlfriend, but i'm incapable of getting a girl. I used to be able to at least get a bar hook up every now and then, but that's pretty nonexistant nowadays. I am decent at opening and starting conversation(I usually just smile and say 'hey' to start), but I fail miserably shortly after. I just don't know what to say, or run out of things to say. I guess it's the small talk I have trouble with. Then, needless to say, I have trouble setting up dates with chicks or getting them back to my place.

I really don't want to turn into an asshole, but something needs to give in order to be happy. I'm just a hick who never really learned how to run game. Judging by what I've read so far, most people here are good people who were tired of getting the shit end of the stick. I'd owe yall alot if anyone could give me any advice or point me in the right direction or tell me i'm an idiot...Thanks

Theres no "magic bullet" advice, its a ton of little stuff to fix your game. You need to start by reading "The Game" by Neil Strauss. Once you've read his book I'd suggest getting out there and falling on the your face a few times. Its important to learn that rejection, while shitty, is not the end of the world. Its a great way to get over your approach anxiety. Next go read Mystery's book The Mystery Method. In fact read it twice. Then just get out there!
