I have never really used negs, and a seminar just taught me why, so I'll share it with you.

The classical PUA thinks his vallue is lower then the girl's value. But guess what! it is NOT lower! you have the balls to go up to her where 500 other guys don't. AKA your value is through the roof! You don't need to lower hers. Positive compliment her to get her value up! If your not getting laid it might be because she thinks she's too low for you.

I disagree. Negs don't need to be used all the time, but every so often, you run into that powerfully aggressive woman that needs it. Nice girls can just be teased and/or complimented. Everything has its place, so try not to limit your views and uses of the tools at hand.

I think negs are very much dependant on the situation, you have to gauge the mood and attitudes of the girl, learning to calibrate social situations is one of the greatest tools in a PUA's arsenal.

It is also important to remember that negs are not only to lower her value, but more importantly they show an active disinterest on your part thereby disqualifying you as a potential suitor. Negs can neutralize obstacles and lower bitch-shields.

Negs are not necessarily essential to a pickup, but showing active disinterest is - when going indirect. This can be done through body language or some other false disqualifier. IMO, the best negs are backhanded compliments anyway, so you aren't really lowering her value, she's just interpreting your comments incorrectly.

I'm also confused as to how you could "tease the shit out of her" without using any sort of neg. Could someone explain please??
