How long did it take you to change from being an AFC to a pick up artist?


my definition of pickup artist is that you sleep with different woman regularly.

It takes different amounts of time for each person. A PUA is more about an attitude rather than sleeping with many women. You have to choose not to be an AFC and make strives to correct what you think is wrong. In short, there is no definate answer to your question.

The problem with answering a question like this is definition: What exactly defines a pick-up artist? Is it someone who practices the art? If so, anyone who does cold approaches every week is a pick-up artist. Is it someone who has "mastered" the art? If so, there are a handful of people on this forum who can make a claim to being a PUA, and I'm not one of them. Is it a guy who can consistently five-for-five? Well, by that definition of mastery, I'm in.

I'd say I first started seeing success with pick-up after the first six months or so. I'd finally started internalizing a lot of the routines and techniques and I was on my way to developing material of my own. Whether or not that makes me a pick-up artist... Well, who knows?

Yeah I see. Well what I'm really getting at is how long it took before you were getting laid as a result of learning pick-up via this website, or the game, or the tv show or whatever.

I know gambler and mystery took about 2 years, but they also had a lot of spare time to do it. And somone like jeffy (or jlaix or however you spell it) spent 4 years sarging every night. however he lost his job and stuff.

I think it's a silly way to judge based upon whether you are having sex or not. Go pick up some fat drunk girls that haven't gotten laid in years on ladies night and that makes you a PUA?

Set the bar based upon what you wish to achieve. Are you able to get what you want from your interactions? Are you taking home the girls you desire, or the ones that will let you take them home? Are you rejecting girls that want sex, in preference of girls that want a serious relationship? Are you able to pick up any girl you desire and have a relationship/ONS with her, but you don't because you're married?

Lots of PUAs don't claim to be PUAs because they are having sex with new girls all the time, but because they have the ability to if they desire the girl, but they are using their skills to have more successful relationships so that they don't have to go pick up girls all the time. That's what most instructors end up doing, but that doesn't make them no longer PUAs.

It took mystery 10 years of researching and trying new things to master the art. I would consider myself a pickup artist and quite a good one. I believe that i have a natural talent but also good looks which do help along the way.
i have always been a really social and funny guy who got alot of girls before i started but now that i have a deeper understanding of how women think im out night sarging 3 times a week and day once a week. to overcome AA i challenged myself to go down to the local mall and say hi to 10 random girls in 10 minutes like the PUA Story guys it helped me alot but then again i was never a shy person i was always the one that made friends first.

If you want to become a PUA YOU HAVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, when i started reading all about it and i heard all the stories and watched literally ALL THE VIDEOS i was like FUCK IT, im gonna give this a shot, it looks really fun.

I used to only think about picking up women at nightclubs and i wouldnt hook up everyweek(by hookup i even mean K-CLose) but now i find myself just getting girls numbers just for the fun of it to boost my confidence and at nightclubs i go fucking WILD!!!

ANYONE can pick up a slutty girl and have sex with her all night. However, are they quality girls? Not really. They are just easy. Being a PUA you are raising the bar and going for quality girls and learning how to develop a relationship.

This is wrong--I'm pretty sure it took Mystery 7-10 years (I forget the exact number, he said it in the Venusian Arts). Granted everything he did was innovative. No one else has to really worry about reinventing the wheel.

I wasn't gonna post here, but i just cant help myself.

Im not going to consider myself a PUA until im getting the success im happy with and i know i pick up the girls that i once thought were out of my league that i had no chance with. When i know i can walk out the door and pick up a hot girl if i wanted to, easy. Im still not sure i'll if i can reach that level, it would be amazing if i did. i can be my own worst critique at times so dont expect me to be calling myself a pua anytime soon.
