This girl I'm in a relationship with now dated a guy that was 31 for two years from the time she was 19 to the time she was 21. She's 27 now. Before I was in this relationship with her I was her friend. When I first was getting to know her (for a while as a friend) I remember her talking with great esteem about the relationship she had with this guy. She told me her parents were against it because of the age difference and the fact he had 2 kids already and that's why he ended up breaking it off. She hates her mother to this day for breaking them up, claiming that he was probably the one and only love of her life. She said he would walk in the room and she would just feel his presence and she bragged about how so many friends in her life claimed they had never experienced such love. (She said these things while we were friends and hasn't mentioned it since) She had plans to go out to a cabin with him last summer to hang out for a week together. I remember at the time asking her if she wanted to get back together with him. She said no, that he had his own life and it wouldn't work out...and that he was a player of sorts. I don't however see how she would have gone to a cabin alone with an ex and not slept with him if he wanted to after speaking that way about him.

Now that we are in a relationship she doesn't really mention him in that context. We post on each others facebook from time to time and she is still friends with this guy which I find hard to handle but I don't say anything. She posted a picture of herself with a low cut shirt and this guy writes "holy crap" on the comments. He has posted comments on a number of her pictures. It bothers me.

She's always been trustworthy and open since I've been with her, and she hasn't cheated on anyone in the past or exhibited traits that would lead me to believe she would do anything like that. I imagine the problem lies with me and insecurity or some bullshit trust issue like that from my own baggage. I've felt this way about other girls pasts that I have dated. For some reason I feel like my past doesn't matter because the girls I've been with mean little to nothing to me anymore. But when it comes to girls, I feel like they have some deep connection with these guys I will never have...and in this case, it's more so than usual. Just not sure how to deal with these thoughts is all and was hoping someone on this board would have suggestions.

facebook. it's evil.

seriously, think about it.

how many guys on any given day stare at your girl's ass?

i'd be willing to bet DOZENS!

how many guys on any given day say "well, hello!!!" when they open a door for her?

i'd be willing to bet QUITE A FEW!

how many guys on any given day give her a look like "hey, baby!!!" when she walks by?

i'd be willing to bet ALMOST ALL OF THEM! (we are horndogs)

so, why is facebook so evil?

because, one person says "hubba bubba!" and you see it! all that other shit, you never see, and none of that other shit means your girl is going to cheat on you. but for some reason, when those comments hit the facebook wall, we all lose our fucking minds.

that is why i NEVER friend a girl i am dating on facebook. ever.

i don't want to see what the fuck she is doing on there, because i know it is going to be an endless stream of guys flirting with her.

facebook is like CRACK (you know...rock cocaine?) for chicks!

women LOVE LOVE LOVE attention. and facebook is nothing more than horny, bored guys giving sexual attention to every good looking girl on their friend's list.

hell, if i could log onto my computer and have dozens of women flirting with me instantly, think i wouldn't log on?

facebook .... it's CHICK-CRACK

Hey Heffty, I've been in the same position as you. I've witnessed plenty of that shit go by also, and I also have an insecurity when it comes to that type of problem. I read an interesting article about this posted by David X, and I couldn't agree with him any more. You need to do the "My way or the Highway," act, if she doesn't accept it, move on. If she's flirting with other guys, you flirt with other girls. If she asks why, tell her if she can do it, you can too. Before the relationship, it'd been easier if you told her that shit doesn't fly. I would not want that shit going by me, affiliating with an ex boyfriend is a definite no no, if she was going away with him in a cabin for a week, she definitely is fucking him... unless she took you along with her, because he'd be just a "friend" then, right? I just kicked a girl to the curb after a year relationship because she was hanging with her ex boyfriend's sister, going to his house. I told her that shit doesn't fly and it bothered me, she didn't accept it so I broke the relationship, now she's calling me wanting me back but guess what... I've moved on, because PUA is what makes me stronger. Hate to deliver the bad news, but like David X says:

MY WAY OR THE HIGHWAY

You have to be in control of every interaction. It’s my way or the highway. For example, if a woman asks you a question that makes you uncomfortable, don't answer it. You are under no obligation to do anything that you don't want to do. Be a man, and she will respect you for it, even if she seems all upset. Just say,"I don't want to answer that question." When she asks why, just turn it around and say, "you don't have any secrets from me?"

What if she says, "Oh I can't tell you"? Fine. That means it works both ways. If she doesn't want to tell me something, I'm not gonna beg her to tell me. See, we all have the right to keep secrets, and it works both ways. The way I see it, if she doesn't want to tell me something, that just makes it easier for me to hold secrets. She can have all the secrets she wants. You have to be in control but not controlling. That means being in control of yourself. If you freak out on her because she's witholding information, then you're essentially telling her that you own the rights to her thoughts.

I see all these dumb guys arguing with their women. I don't argue with them. She can do whatever she wants and so can I. You see, if you argue with them then you're a pussy. It's my way or the highway. When you argue, you are telling her that you need her to act in a certain way or see something from your point of view in order for you to be happy. If you love someone set them free. My women know what the rules are and they know that I'm perfectly willing to walk if they don't obey the rules.

You need to learn to be strong and decisive. Rule number one: Who cares what they think. Because what they think is irrelevant. Guys are constantly asking me how to handle a woman who is a bitch. Who needs her? If you want her just for the sex, fine. But I find that you will be much better off sleeping with a prostitute that is just as good-looking anyway. Because the prostitute won't give you any hassle, she won't waste your time, and she will probably be a better fuck anyway! And she will only cost you about $150, whereas the bitch will drain you emotionally and financially. Unless you're me, of course, and you learn how to get over your fears of rejection and think out loud. Why would you want a bitch? So she can twist you around in knots?

If you still want her, then you first need to remember the golden rule: Treat a lady like a whore, and treat a whore like a lady. If a woman is so good looking, with her tits hanging out, she is acting like a whore. So treat her like the whore that she is. Remember, every woman is a whore except for two of them: Your mother and your sister.

Just watch the amazing transformation that will occur in a woman when you treat her this way. She is gorgeous, wears red lipstick, tight pants so you can see her crotch, and let's her tits hang out for everyone to see. Now watch what happens when someone like me walks up and says, "You're so fuckin' good looking, what do you charge a man to sleep with you?" And she'll get upset and say, "I'm no prostitute!" To that I reply, "Well you sure fooled me! You sure act like one!" I am telling you guys, when you hit those bitches with a line like that, they are speechless. You're the only guy that came up and called her a whore. The rest of them all thought it, but were too afraid to say it.

Now I know what you're thinking. You're afraid to say these kind of things to women. There you go, you're trying to think for HER again. "But what will she think?" Who cares. Stop worrying about getting rejected. Be ruthless. Have the balls to say and do whatever the fuck you want to say and do.

I wouldn't be afraid of what a woman would say if I called her a "whore".

I would be afraid she would either:

a- punch me in the face
b- kick me in the nuts
c- or heaven forbid, do both

LOL

Sounds helpful. May I ask how successful this technique has been applied to other girls for you? or did similar problems still occur?

I would anticipate that this technique only works on girls who are passive or too scared of you. Otherwise, you have just limited the choice of girls you've get

To be frank, I do not think the issue is with the OP, but the girl and her personality in general. The girl had that in her to begin with.

Seriously? Someone actually takes anything that David X said above seriously, and then quotes it as something that should be admired? He sounds like an utter jackass who should never be inflicted upon anyone, male or female.

The basis for a lasting relationship is respect. Respect, as we should all know, is a two-way street. Never ask for something that you yourself would not be willing to provide.

I'm pretty close to being done with her. This week she tells me she's going out for dinner with her brothers brother in law. This guy has a kid...and that kid plays with her kid. She says to me "yeah he's nice, we've been spending more time together". She was working a lot this week and her only two free nights were Saturday and this thursday coming up. She goes out with him Saturday instead of me...WTF? Then she wants to make plans with me Thursday. Secondly...her hanging out with this guy is news to me...and she's been calling me less and less lately. Anytime I bring up the whole issue of hanging out with dudes she tries to turn it on me saying I'm insecure, I'm jealous, and I should be more trusting because she hasn't done anything and wouldn't do anything like that to me. Bottom line is, I am not ok with it, and I will leave if she doesn't accept the way I feel. Of course however, I question if she is right. Why can't I just be cool with it and not worry? Is that something other guys who are emotionally invested in a girl are able to do?

From your response, it sounds to me like you are personally more invested in the girl than she is in you. At the same time, I do not know her side of the story so I can not really tell if she is telling the truth or not. You seem like a smart guy, so my best advice to you is to figure that out yourself. And don't use your brain, use your heart.

Other than this, I don't know what the PUA here has to say about this so I will leave it up to them.

@ quickquestion: thanks, man

@ heffty: is your relationship with this girl under the assumption of exclusivity? it sounds like you two are "exclusive". if that is the case, i've got a riddle for you.

what do you call a girl going out with another guy and their two kids playing together on a semi-regular basis? give up? DATING!!!

if you two are supposedly exclusive, i would dump her ass in a minute. she is dating other people.

Yeah well that's how I see it too. I broke it off last night...super hard to do but it is what it is. At some point she needed to take responsibility for my feelings and if she doesn't want to, then that doesn't bode well for the future when bigger problems arise. I'll get over it and someone else will come along. Another hard lesson learned and I feel like shit. I'm not the guy to go out and sleep with a bunch of women now either...I should probably go on some dates though to distract myself from this shitty feeling I have right now about all of this.

No she wasn't confused. I'm pretty straight forward with how I feel and I don't play games. She was dating this guy, I don't care what she says about me being jealous. She was dishonest with me once about him, and I don't put up with dishonesty especially in this regard. She told me he wasn't coming to a party she was throwing for her daughter that I was also going to attend, told me her daughter got sick and wasn't' going to have a party anymore minus having her dad and brother over for a quick bite. Then later I find out this guy was over there. So in essence, tells me not to come, but budy is over there. Yeah...I got fucked. Super angry right now but there's nothing I can do but get over it. I'm not a PUA...but I have confidence to know well enough if I'm being treated properly in a relationship...and I follow my guts when things aren't going well; and I'm usually right. I know a lot of people in here are against marriage...but if I'm going to have a kid one day (which I want) I need to find someone honest and kind hearted. Bottom line..this girl was not her and if budy is out to get laid and have fun...then he can accomplish his goal with her, and I'll go try to accomplish mine with someone else.

yep, she's a bitch. sorry to say.

there is no reason for her to lie.

you didn't "force her" into an exclusive relationship.

it sounds like she opted for one, only to be a treacherous in the end.

what the hell is so hard about "let's keep this light and date other people"?

it's sad that in our society, so many people have so little respect, that they OPT for lying as a FIRST RESPONSE, when the truth would have done just fine or better.

people suck.
