I'm not sure I would be comfortable describing HIV as "mostly asymptomatic" in most people.
Also, HPV has just been linked to deadly forms of oral cancer of the mouth, gums, throat, and tongue. Ten times more likely to give you oral cancer than smoking, yep, from eating a girl out.
I don't say this make some point other than the fact that there is no such thing as SAFE SEX. There is only SAFER SEX. And also the SAFEST sex, which is doing it with a monogamous long time partner.
Condoms don't protect against HPV because it's spread through friction between the skin in the pelvis, not bodily fluids. Some forms of hepatitis are also spread this way if there is a weak area in the skin.
With medication today that people take for HIV it is relatively non-symptomatic. Without meds, yes, it is crazy. I have three friends who have it and they have been relatively free of any issues that are any different than we all face...look at Magic Johnson...lol Also, check out "House of Numbers." An interesting look at the connection between AIDS and HIV and the MYTH of it all...
My only point was not to say they are not existing, but that the FEAR of them are way over blown! WAY!
