Hey, ive been trying to set up day 2's with so far 2 girls on three seperate occasions (1 girl a date lol) all three times they've had legitimate excuses but i dont want to keep asking due to sounding needy, is there a better way to make sure they are free?

That would be doing it in person, pretend to run into her, and spontaneously invite her to have lunch with you. This way she won't have time to think about an excuse to refuse like in txt or phone, and plus quick lunch as if you didn't plan it put no pressure so she will mostly likely say yes since it's not an official date.

my current situation would fit best into shinigaml's response, and i think i have it down. After i see her again, i text her about something crazy, but made up, after we say our goodbyes. i wait about a day or two and then reply back with some random story and then invite to a day 2?

i was thinking about leaving off after this story for a day or 2 then while texting back send her a message that was supposed to be sent to another person.

3. Make it on a weekday evening

Well, i did both to different girls. The first i invited out to eat, nothing special and she had plans so i said cancel them and she said naa girls before bros and i left it at that.

With the second girl we met and i kinod, had a great convo which i cant seem to remember. then after we departed i text her like 30 min later saying, " wow the craziest shit happened, some big white just sl" and i left it at that. lol, about 30 min later she replied "what happened" and i plan to respond tomorrow after class sometime. I dont really know how to open there, i guess ill just call her and try asking her out, which i plan to hype up this one ice cream place i know with a nice setting around it. any ideas, advice?
