there isnt really any gap how long you should wait if you feel like you have to text her just do it

Im no expert and I dont have the answer to your question but I can tell you a failed attempt on an HB 9 that I had recently.
I used a neg opener, opinion followup, back and forth a little bit and then indirect number closed when i had received enough ioi's..
SIDENOTE: I saw on her profile that she had a bf BUT she never mentioned it to me...
Anyways I got her # and texted her 24 hours later.
I went with the "Don't worry about giving your number out on myspace, I'm only gonna send you 25 creepy texts per day" opener...
No response and she deleted her myspace...
So......either she didn't see that I was being sarcastic, or her bf read the text and made her delete her myspace. Either way, I shouldve went with something else....

this is what happens when newbies lurk a bit too much.

you get a thread with 5 replies and none of them make any sense, nor do any of them ask for some kind of clarification as to what is even being said in the first post.


So, I shall do what they have failed to:

Use some proper grammar and paragraphs with an actual thought process behind them and tell us what it is you are actually looking for and the events/situations leading up to this point.

I don't mean any disrespect to you but it looks like he used the first method from the Myspace Pickup thread that is linked in the General Q Sticky thread and once he reached the IM'ing step, the target instead gave her phone number for him to text.

Should the TS now consider texting as a substitution for Instant Messaging in the comfort-building phase? If so, how should he open?

Or should he skip what would be the IM'ing phase, since he's already number closed, and go for setting up a meet?

I don't mean to hijack your question TS but this is a subject that I've been wondering about as well.
