Advantages
* Faster training/practice
* No cockblocking friends or time wasters
* Better chances of making new friends and close sets

The key is to open a set as soon as you walk in. Open a set quickly, then move on to the next.

"Hey guys! How's your night? Wow, I really like your sense of fashion dude! Well anyways, I gotta get back to my friends. I'll cya around!"

Then open other sets the same way. Socialize with everyone in the venue. This way, you will seem like THE MAN. Nobody will even notice that you came alone. All they see is this: A super confident social guy that EVERYBODY IN THE CLUB LOVES. There must be something special about him!

Now you have the power to re-open the previous sets, and they will love you more than ever and be super happy to talk to you. Especially the girls/targets.

I do this all the time - works like a charm.

Not really. There are any number of reasons why a popular successful guy might be alone. It is not like you never see an attractive popular girl on her own.

As the Panda says, you can easily hide your lone approach by multiple approaches, but being temporarily alone isn't the big deal you think it is. Simply by approaching and showing good social skills you'll probably kill any thoughts your target may have about you being a loner.

If you are a Mystery Method follower, you should know:

"Withing 3 seconds of entering the venue, approach the first set you see. This way it will seem as if you already know those people."

Make sure you have a base set to return to. When you are done with them, open another set right away and people will think that you know everyone.

This way you won't look like a solo cholo.

Sarging alone can be a DLV at a bar or club. During the day, I wouldn't think much of it.

Depends on how you do it.
