The only time you should be romantic is when you clearly can tell the girl digs you. It will be apparent when she kisses you after sex on the cheek, double texts, following your lead and etc.

If she hasn't shown any of the signs, stick to your player person unless you don't plan on having her around for long anyway. Just a tip for the guys that get needy and shit and then wonder why the relationships turn out one sided.
