I ran into this issue with this girl and I'm pretty confused... I went to text her to ask her out and I guess I messed up or she took a joke the wrong way. Here's what happen, tell me what you think:

Me: *Boom* Let the party start - Pink has arrived!
Her: Haha aww man I missed the party? Bummer :/
Me: You didn't - it's VIP only, are you on the guest list? 
Her: Well I don't know. Am I?
Me: Depends. The fee is 200$ and a dance - I'll put Ricky Martin on.
Her: ooh, that's a pretty steep fee. Not sure I could afford that. Not sure I could dance to Ricky Martin, either. Looks like I'm out.
Me: I was at the store the other day, checkin' out the cake mix - it really helped - you're a life saver (Trying to change the subject)
Her: I can't imagine I helped much lol but thanks

Me: Are you doing anything interesting next weekend?

Now I know you may say to just move on. And I am talking with other girls. But is it game over (so I know in future situations). Is this totally redeemable. If so, what could I do?

Background on her: we met on okc once but she had to leave early. I texted her after that, messed up, than texted her again and did a lot better. This is the most recent time I texted her, how could I get the day 2 after this?

Thank you so much for your comment it really help take away some of the anxiety I had over the situation. But I wonder if she's attracted to me? I feel like, I'm gonna' ask her or w/e and she'll ignore me or it won't go no where.

I like the, "I just seen something that reminded me of you" line, but what should I follow that with? I'm not as creative with texting, in the sense that I don't have a rule book to follow. What should I say reminded me of her and how can I hook that in to going to a restaurant that's near her part of town. (that's sorta my plan) let me know what you guys think.

I actually read this before, but forgot the link - very helpful. Thanks.
However, there's some logistical issues: I'm only free on Saturday's, this Saturday there is snow. So I'll have to wait 7-9 days till I text her to set up the day 2. Is that acceptable?

2nd issue: I'm sure I can try and open and talk for a little bit, when I txt - I can manage that. But i heard Adam Lyons use this line, tell me if it'll work: Hey, I know this place in Blah town it has the greatest chinese food you ever had, I'm going there this week, come with me!" What do you think?

P.S. This is only after I'm able to find out if she's free next weekend
