Recently i've reached a level and built up a reputation where i've been called a player by both men and women, and it is universally communicated/known that I am a womaniser of sorts.

On one hand being called a player is the highest compliment there is. It means all my strenuous work has paid off and I am scaling where I set out to reach. Women know a player is hot property, that he is charming and untamed, and that naturally he is an alpha male. Men look up to the players in relative awe, and gaze upon to study and unlock their secrets. Notoriety is always an added perk.

On the other hand, being a player can limit opportunities and can label you as dangerous to women, (both good and bad dangerous). Example, a gal I spent the night with dropped intel that her friend (advising her behind the curtains) does not like me as "he is mysterious and a player." Another of her friends was aware of my status and told the girl "don't fuck him straight away."

For others who have attained such a label, how have you found it? Are there any means to stomp the negatives of the branding or does it come with the territory?

Don't waste energy on it. I was in your shoes a couple of months ago but I came to terms. You can play with it. If she asks if you are a player you can say "Yeah, I used to be a -insert sports here- player" or you can blow it out of proportion and say that you have made love to millions of women and many millions more to come!

She is testing your confidence to see if you will crumble under the pressure and see if she can hit a chord. I was tested yesterday by two girls who I had sex with but I didn't know they were best friends lol. I just told them that I love women and I have all their albums .

I don't think being a player means naturally being an alpha. Being a player is attempting, being a player is behaving like Mystery does, being a player is going to a girl and launching some canned opener printed in some page of "The game" that you memorized. There is no alpha here.
People who really understands all this PUA thing don't get caught, most girls find players creepy and perceive them as try-too-hard. Being known as player is a pro when women are seeking one night stands. It represents everything they want that night, you must be passionate, attractive, charming, good fuck and so on. Yes, I would fuck myself.
