when she texts back asking what I wanna respond with:
''Is the gangnam style dance attractive? haha''

and then seeing where it goes from there

shit question I know but I cant think of any other reason other to rendomly text her, should I change the question? any tips? and would I be dooming the convo to be ridiculously short?

I think it will do fine as an opener, it doesn't really matter what you open with anyway. I think your only mistake is that you are asking her permission to ask something. Don't do this, it is unnecessary and will probably not yield a good response (unless she's really into you). So skip the first message and the 'haha' on the second. To me, the subject does sound a little lame, but if that's your cup of tea, whatever man, do what you think is cool.

quite boring if u ask me, seems very indirect, almost as an excuse to start a convo. When I text i go very bizzare like the other day I met a girl named ashley, who goes by ash.

Of course I a child trapped inside a "young-adult's" body referred to pokemon immediately, thus my text went like this...

"Just caught this fucking awesome pokemon, about to take on this annoying team rocket person, think you can hold my pikachu as I kick his ass. (it was my first time texting her so I signed my sig at the end) Xx Entourages
