I drink in clubs usually. Personally, I'd prefer not to since drinking is not my goal and where I live (Las Vegas), drinks are ridiculous. I hold a drink because it seems like without one, it's awkward. Everyone else has one. I don't do it to try to be cool, I do it so I don't look like the guy who is just standing there without a drink.

I don't know, it just seems awkward to not have a drink in my hand at a club (alcohol or not). Makes it odd.

I have the same feeling bro, even though I'm not drinking to get drunk, just to have a chill, I miss having a drink in my hand, I find it very difficult to know what to do with the hands xD. I will keep checking this post to learn more =]

Socialize? Or if it comes down to it water/other with ice.

My experience that here in the u.k, if you don't drink, people think there is something wrong with you, and it can create animosity.

What i do is that, i ask for a lemonade with ice. Drinking usually fucks up my game. lemonade looks like i am having a drink.

Hey man, you don't necessarily need a drink in your hand to game.

What if you have a drink in your hand, that is full, and a girls wants to dance. You need your hands to dance, or else the drink will be spilled all over everyone. That's some f*cking messed up sh*t. I mean you don't want to look like you peed over yourself now do you?

And if you want to drink, drink coke. Coke has caffeïne that activates you, gives you high energy, and that's good for opening. People open up to other people with energy, it's a sign of life. I did that last night on a party, everyone was drunk, i wasn't. Guess what? I had the most success.

Just be confident about who you are, you don't need alcohol for that.

What about the theory from the movie 21(Black Jack), they are counting cards, so they must be alert and be able to think, but to give the idea that they are drinking they simply have a gin with tonic, which (says the movie) doesn't take their focus so much, but gives the illusion that they are drinking and keeping them under the radar, like some PUA like.

Unlike some pua's I disagree with "never drink at the club", this is ridiculous, your at a club or bar, its expected, and as long as you don't drink to much its not going to cloud your judgment.

I will say though don't get drunk! this will ruin your game! you will not have complete control. My advice is the stick to 2 to 4 drinks, enough to make you relax and enjoy the night.

There are other places to pick up girls other than the bar, other places were drinks are not needed, so the whole "don't drink thing" is dumb imo. If you want to havea couple drinks go for it! I have done it a million times, picked up hundreds of women, and it has never affected my game.

Red wine is always a good conversation starters! 2 or 3 glasses in a night won't kill ya.

True, i forgot to mention that i also drink 3-5 beers on a night to get loose.

Generally it's pretty socially unacceptable for a completely sober guy trying to pick up a drunk girl. Having a few drinks just to make you relax and be merry is fine in my opinion. It only becomes a problem when you've drunk enough for your judgement to be hindered and for you to say/do stupid things.

Get a drink to loosen up. Jack and Coke should do the trick. If cost is the problem, after your Jack and Coke, ask to refill your glass with just Coke.

If you prefer Gin and Tonic, get a glass to loosen up, then ask the bartender for just Tonic water or regular water.

On the drink or not drink debate, you should do whatever you want to do to feel comfortable. Just know your limits.
