why open her on text? have the freaking balls to call her. More direct, immediate conversation and then it's more 'personal'.

Once you have already closed her in person, and thus gotten the number, you can text her. Women use text as their main source of communication. In fact they text many more times than guys.

A line that I fine works as a first text is "Hey, so what kind of trouble have you gotten into lately."
You might also use "Hey, this is the extremely sexy guy you talked to (insert detail that makes her remember, whether it be a time?place, etc. here)"
