Yes. It's normal if and only if you are not using being picky as an excuse for not going for the f-close.
A good selection strategy should be part of a PUA's game. Screen out the:
- 1. Drama queens
2. The promiscuous flirts
3. The potential stalkers
4. The buy-me-this, buy-me-that HBs
5. The kiss-and-tell types
The list could go on but those are some of the basics. As for the thread title, how long? I would say, when you have managed to have at least 3 f-closes using techniques from the established or well known PUA methods on the market, then you can call yourself a PUA.
